On January 20, the Lancang-Mekong Regional Forum on Dialogue and Education Cooperation was held in Yibin City, Sichuan Province. With the theme of "Drinking The Same River water and win-win new era", the event focused on the lancang-mekong vocational education cooperation in the chengdu-Chongqing region's twin-city economic circle. Through the "Chengdu-Chongqing Region Twin Cities Economic Circle - Lancang-Mekong Regional Vocational Education Cooperation Alliance", the vocational colleges in Chengdu-Chongqing will firmly grasp the historic opportunity of vocational education reform and development, adhere to the same direction as the development of the times, resonate with regional development, continue to deepen the reform of education and teaching, and continuously improve the quality of talent training. The alliance will also help the co-construction and sharing of vocational education resources in the Chengdu-Chongqing region and the Lancang-Mekong region, further strengthen regional cooperation and exchanges, and provide solid technical and technical personnel support for the economic and social development of the six Lancang-Mekong countries.
The "Jiudu Workshop Laos Branch Center" project is built in accordance with the "five in place" standard of "site construction in place, practical training equipment in place, teacher training in place, professional standards in place, and teaching resources in place", which has the characteristics of Yibin, the wine capital of China, with the goal of serving Chinese-funded enterprises going out and serving the Railway Industry between China and Laos, aiming to cultivate Laotian localization and "craftsman" talents with both international vision and high Chinese level, as well as a high level of technical skills.
At the forum, scholars from relevant institutions and enterprises also made keynote speeches on the theme of "International Cooperation in Vocational Education in the Post-epidemic Era: New Challenges, New Opportunities and New Actions".
It is reported that the holding of this event will build a platform for cooperation between Sichuan and Chongqing universities, especially vocational colleges, and relevant colleges and universities in the Lancang-Mekong countries, promote the integration of international industry and education, accelerate the construction of international student bases in South Asia and Southeast Asia, expand Yibin's opening up to the outside world, enhance international popularity, and boost Yibin to accelerate the construction of a socialist modernization of the national regional center city.
