As one of the first women's SWAT brigades in the country, since its establishment in 2006, no matter how cold or heat it is, training has not been interrupted for a day. In the past 15 years, outstanding soldiers from the Marine Corps, national sharpshooters who have walked through the Yang, elite Haojie with extraordinary skills, and outstanding college girls have joined in to write a different kind of youth.

Not Afraid to Endure Hardships On the training ground, it is better than hard work
"Sweat more in peacetime, less blood in wartime." At 6:30 a.m., the exercise was carried out, the weight of 40 kg 5000 meters long run, leggings cross-country run, and then the fist slammed the predetermined "target" with no less than 100 times per minute, followed by pull-ups, push-ups, cement piles and other strength and hard work training; in addition, there are fighting, shooting, tactics, climbing and other police skills training. This is a day of routine training for the Wuhan Women's SWAT Brigade, rain or shine.
In the coldest season of the year, are the female SWAT officers still insisting? On the morning of January 19, reporters were invited to their winter training site.

New police officers Sun Leiyu and Wang Yifan, who have only been in the team for a few months, have overcome psychological obstacles and basically mastered the essentials of surrender. "I saw on TV that SWAT was very cool, tried to apply for this position, I didn't expect that I would do the same when I joined SWAT." They excitedly told reporters.
"Bang! bang! bang! "Gun inspection, reloading, running, rapid shooting, standing, kneeling, a complete set of actions on the shooting range, requiring good speed and precision, the team members are completely immersed in the deafening sound of gunfire."
National Taekwondo Champion, Judo Runner-up, Martial Arts Runner-up, Public Security Shooting Champion... Walking into this brigade, the glory wall shines brightly, in fact, each one of them has practiced outstanding true skills, but there is a tradition of "not being afraid of suffering" and "not accepting defeat".
"Who says women are inferior to men?" In 1994, Wuhan first set up a special police post, the first batch of 7 female team members side flip, over-the-shoulder fall, head broken bricks, bare-handed splitting board, high-rise rope descent, the item to train with the male team, year-on-year martial arts. Captain Chen Wei is one of the 7 veteran team members. In order to practice her skills, she increased the amount of weight, hanging an extra brick when aiming at the target, and postponing the training time by a few hours. She even integrates training into the details of daily life, and enters the training state all the time. Extraordinary concentration and extraordinary hard work in exchange for rapid progress, in the national public security system shooting competition, she won the championship with a result of 3 rings higher than the men's championship, and was awarded the title of "sharpshooter" by the Ministry of Public Security.
After the official establishment of the brigade, a group of new members joined in. Instructor Ni Chunqiu won the 60 kg championship of the second World Cup Wushu Sanda Competition when he went to college, Deputy Captain Liu Yanan participated in the first Sino-US Police Fighting Competition during his college years and won the championship, and Deputy Captain Yuan Xiujuan trained in the Reconnaissance Post of the Guangdong Marine Corps for many years... Good seedlings do not have any special, but the training requirements are higher, which helps them grow into backbones quickly.
In the past 15 years, 168 team members have honed here, even if they are transferred to other teams because of their age, they will bring this spirit of not being afraid of hardship to patrol, criminal police, traffic police, public security police and other positions.
Fearless of danger, born into death to show their skills
The Wuhan Women's SWAT Brigade currently has 27 members, with an average age of 26 years old, undertaking special tasks such as counter-terrorism and riot prevention and the disposal of major cases, they are braving thorns and thorns, walking on the tip of the knife and flames, facing the test of life and death.
One night in July 2021, four out-of-town gangsters who attacked police officers, carrying guns and explosives, fled by car to Wuhan. The Hubei Provincial Public Security Department and the Wuhan Municipal Public Security Bureau immediately mobilized the city's elite forces to deploy and control at multiple points. In order to prevent alarming the gangsters, the city bureau urgently ordered: "Female SWAT on!" ”
Captain Chen Wei immediately led the team members Li Li and Duan Peijun to change into casual casual clothes, and together with the commando team members rushed to the intersection of the high-speed toll station to intercept them.
"Quick! fast! One suspect has arrived at the highway intersection! "Interception, control, search, female SWAT and male comrades tacit cooperation, successfully stopped the suspect who tried to break through the customs, the scene reviewed the whereabouts of guns, grenades and the location of the carriers."
"Chase!" Female SWAT drag racing "transition", there are few pedestrians in the early morning, they get out of the car and pace arm in arm, quietly looking for suspicious vehicles. Suddenly, a man wearing a duck-tongue hat and carrying a belt bag on his chest came into view.
"This man is holding a bag, there is a problem, get closer!" The female SWAT pretended to run at night, followed her all the way into the unit building of the community, and the situation was fed back to the command headquarters, just to confirm the investigation intelligence information. Soon, the suspect went downstairs and went out, completely unaware of the "night run" female policeman's tracking. "Draw your gun within 15 meters, his speed and accuracy are definitely not my opponents, don't be afraid!" Chen Wei confidently cheered up the team members.
At the intersection, Chen Wei met with the commandos, chased for 50 meters to throw down and control the gangsters who were trying to take the road and flee, and seized 1 pistol and 9 bullets on the spot. The operation is just a microcosm of the birth and death of female SWAT officers. Over the years, they have been in danger but have not missed a single one.
In August 2005, the women's SWAT brigade was still in the preparatory stage, and a hostage-taking case called female SWAT officers. Cheng Mou, a suspect in the Guocikou district of Hanyang District, held a 20-centimeter knife and abducted his ex-wife in the house, threatening his ex-wife not to agree to remarry and die together. Relatives persuasion was ineffective, expert negotiations were unsuccessful, and seeing the knife edge against the hostage's neck, zhang Rui, a veteran team member, stepped forward and said, "I'm on!" ”
Disguised as a civil affairs worker, she skillfully climbed to the second floor to stand on the outdoor air conditioning host, secretly observed the dynamics of the house, and then returned and entered the scene from the gate with a full set of civil affairs forms and seals, saying that she specialized in door-to-door service and remarriage procedures. Cheng carefully filled out the form and kept a distance from Zhang Rui. Zhang Rui said in a hurry: "Your form is filled out incorrectly and needs to be changed!" Finding an opportunity to enter the room again, taking advantage of the moment when Cheng mou modified the form, he flew up and grabbed the murder weapon, firmly pressed it to the ground, and rescued the hostages unscathed. In that year, the Ministry of Public Security rated the case as one of the top ten classic cases of the national public security special police.
According to statistics, since the establishment of the brigade, they have participated in the handling of 35 cases of serious violent crimes such as hostage-taking, guns, explosives, and criminal syndicates, arrested more than 100 extremely vicious gangsters, and seized a batch of guns and explosives, bows and crossbows, and controlled knives.

Do not dishonor the mission Special battlefield has responsibilities
"Wherever there is danger, where there is the greatest need, we will go!" As female SWAT team members, the sense of mission, responsibility, and honor make them continue to interpret with actions - the scarf does not let the eyebrows be shaved.
In January 2020, the new crown pneumonia epidemic broke out in Wuhan, and a general war and obstruction war that could not see the smoke of gunfire were launched, and the battlefield horn urged the emergency.
In the early morning of January 23, the women's swat police brigade received an urgent order to participate in the lockdown in Wuhan. Without talking about any conditions or difficulties, on the twenty-ninth day of the lunar month, they gave up their mother, wife, daughter, daughter-in-law and other roles, and after assembling in the team overnight, they rushed to Wuhan, Wuchang, Hankou Railway Station, Tianhe Airport and other key parts of the duty with full armament. Faced with an unprecedented threat of the virus, they stood out in the retrograde team. Again and again with careful tips, patient explanations over and over again, step by step careful guidance, the crowd gathered in "three stations and one scene" was finally evacuated, the "front of the car" that was queuing away from Han finally turned around, and the mood of the masses was finally relieved. They were exposed to the hustle and bustle, the cold and the danger for 8 hours, and none of them complained about tiredness, suffering, difficulty, and danger.

The next day, when the news of the old man's diagnosis came from the hospital, the team members felt that the task was arduous but none of them flinched.
In August 2021, the Delta strain attacked Wuhan again, a new round of epidemic prevention and control war began, and female special police officers went out again. In the sweltering summer heat, the frontline of community prevention and control in Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone and Jiangxia District, they conscientiously do a good job in tracking key information on epidemic prevention, health monitoring of outsiders, assistance in the transfer of fever personnel, etc., while strictly controlling the pass, sending vegetables, medicines, and daily necessities, solving the difficulties of the masses, doing a good job in serving the "last hundred meters" of the masses, and handing over an unusual "towel answer sheet" for the rapid control of the epidemic.
Receiving the task of duty in a different place in the middle of the night, unable to return home for days or even months, unable to accompany the parents on the sickbed, absent from kindergartens and school parent-child activities, young SWAT girls and mothers looking back on the police years, it is inevitable that there will be heartache, regret and guilt, but to protect the safety of millions of citizens, they have never doubted their choice. Day after day, year after year, "calmly facing the wind and rain rainbow", they have no complaints and no regrets to become the sonorous roses that bloom in this heroic city.
