Mother and son reunite

On March 22, 2019, villager Ms. Chen came to the Yuduo Police Station of the Jiangyan Branch of the Taizhou Municipal Public Security Bureau to call the police for help, saying that her father-in-law Ding Zhangyin was adopted by his adoptive parents and wanted to ask the police to help find his father-in-law's biological parents.

It is understood that Ding Zhangyin was 60 years old at the time, and a few years ago, Ding Zhangyin's adoptive parents passed away one after another. Before her adoptive mother died, she revealed that more than 50 years ago, when she and her husband's fishing boat traveled to the territory of Jingjiang City, they raised the 3-year-old young son of the poor couple of the neighboring boat, and the child was Ding Zhangyin, but at that time, the two sides did not leave contact information, and there was no contact for decades.

As Ding Zhangyin grew older, Ms. Chen felt that her father-in-law's willingness to seek relatives was getting stronger and stronger, and often sat alone in the room to watch "family search" TV programs. Ms. Chen and her husband took Ding Zhangyin out to look for relatives as soon as they had time, but there was no clue, in order to realize her father-in-law's wish as soon as possible, Ms. Chen came to the public security organs for help.

After receiving the request for help, the police station first collected a blood sample for Ding Zhangyin, compared DNA, and organized the police to carry out a visit and investigation in the jurisdictional area, and flipped through the household registration book to find relevant clues. During the investigation, the police found that due to their age, most of the elderly people in the village who knew ding Zhangyin's life had passed away and could not provide valuable clues. The police can only further expand the scope of visits based on the information provided by Ding Zhangyin's adoptive mother before his death, and at the same time encourage his family to use network resources such as WeChat circle of friends and Douyin to release information on searching for relatives and expand the scope of search.

At the beginning of January this year, with the joint efforts of everyone for nearly 3 years, good news finally came: the Family of Jin Laobo, who lived in Huagang Town, Hailing District, saw Ding Zhangyin's search for relatives and left a message saying that Ding Zhangyin may be his brother who has been lost for 60 years. After learning of this situation, the police at the police station immediately helped to contact Lao Bo Jin and promote a conversation between the two sides. In the end, through the paternity test, Ding Zhangyin was really in a mother-son relationship with Mrs. Yang, the mother of Jin Laobo.

On the evening of January 14, accompanied by Song Huafan, director of the Yuduo police station, Ding Zhangyin, 63, rushed to the home of his brother Jin Laobo to reunite with his family. Seeing his faltering 98-year-old mother, Ding Zhangyin cried with joy and excitedly told his relatives about his experiences.

"Before his father died, he kept nagging his brother, not knowing whether he was doing well or not, thanks to the help of Jiangyan police for so many years, he could finally feel at ease." Elder Jin held his brother Ding Zhangyin's hand tightly and thanked the police for their help.
