On January 18, 2022, in the crew dispatch room of the Chongqing North Power Centralized EMU Application Workshop of the Chongqing Depot, Hong Minjie, the mechanic who accompanied the car, conducted an alcohol test in the crew dispatch room, monitored body temperature and blood pressure, collected protective masks, went to the duty room to collect the EMU key, and began a day's crew duty.
It is understood that the C712 train runs on the Xiangyu Railway and the Bada Railway, departing from Chongqing North Railway Station at 8:10 a.m., passing through Gaoxing, Dazhou, and Pyeongchang on the way, and arriving in Bazhong at 12:23 p.m. As a mechanic, his duty is to inspect the car every 3 hours, the main purpose is to grasp the technical status of various equipment on the train, when inspecting the carriages, the toilets, toilets, air conditioning temperatures of each carriage, and whether the electrical equipment is normal.
Hong Minjie said that in the three years of his crew career, he has traveled through Lanzhou, Xining, Chengdu, Nanchong, Bazhong, Xiushan and other places, and has traveled almost all over most of China. "The car doesn't go home, we don't go home. Every spring festival, either in the car or in the unit to prepare for the ride. Hong Minjie said that since he went to work in 2018, he has not spent a Chinese New Year's Eve night at home.
"The mechanics on board are all "single soldiers" in the process of riding the EMU, from the safe operation of the train to the temperature of the hot water, and what the eyes see is our work. Hong Minjie said that it is our duty to ensure the safe operation of the train and let passengers spend this journey safely and comfortably.
At present, there are 126 employees in the Chongqing North Power Centralized EMU Application Workshop of Chongqing Depot, including 32 mechanics accompanying the car. While following the EMU in the vast land of the motherland, they stuck to their posts, inspected and repaired the EMUs, eliminated the safety hazards of the equipment, improved the operation quality of the EMUs, provided sufficient vehicle protection for passengers to travel, and escorted the way home for the Spring Festival.
