Next to Guangzhou South Railway Station, the high-speed rail station with the largest passenger flow in the mainland, there is a "small house" - Guangzhou South High-speed Railway Substation, although it is inconspicuous compared with the magnificent Guangzhou South Railway Station, it shoulders the heavy responsibility of ensuring the railway power supply in the entire Guangzhou South Railway Station area, just like a "heart", continuously providing sufficient power for the operation of high-speed rail.

In order to ensure the healthy operation of this "heart", the Guangzhou South High-speed Railway Power Supply Workshop of the Guangzhou Power Supply Section of the Spring Festival this year specially dispatched 10 young people of about 30 years old to set up a high-speed rail substation inspection team to be responsible for the testing of the high-speed rail substation under its jurisdiction, and Zhao Jianhang was one of them.

"The Guangzhou South High-speed Railway Substation is responsible for the 14-way traction power supply of the Beijing-Guangzhou high-speed railway Lishui-Guangzhou South section, the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong high-speed railway, the Guiguang-Guangzhou high-speed railway, and the power supply of 26 railway equipment such as Guangzhou South Railway Station and Guangzhou EMU Section. Zhao Jianhang told reporters that because the equipment cannot be cut off when the high-speed rail is running, their inspection operations can only be carried out at night during the "skylight" time when the high-speed rail is out of operation and repaired.

At 23:30 on February 6, when people fell asleep, Zhao Jianhang came to the workshop and prepared to start the operation that night.

After 90 minutes, after accepting the specific work task, applying for the "skylight" power outage order, Zhao Jianhang and his co-workers, who had prepared various safety measures, carried 20 kilograms of equipment on their backs and embarked on the road to the Guangzhou South High-speed Rail Substation at night.

At about 1 a.m., following in their footsteps, the reporter came to the Guangzhou South High-speed Railway Substation. Zhao Jianhang introduced that their task is to detect whether the switch in the GIS closed cabinet is in good condition, the core of the traction power supply of the high-speed rail power grid.

"The equipment here is fully sealed, which is filled with sulfur hexafluoride inert gas, unless the equipment failure needs to be forced to disintegrate the inspection, under normal circumstances, the equipment can not be opened, the previous detection method is time-consuming and labor-intensive, and the efficiency is low." Zhao Jianhang said that this year's Spring Festival, guangzhou power supply section in the whole road for the first time to enable X-ray detection technology, through the X-ray penetration irradiation, you can clearly "see" the internal structure of the equipment, intuitively show whether the switch split state is good.

"Just like when we go to the hospital for X-rays, through image analysis, we can accurately determine the location of the lesion." Zhao Jianhang and his co-workers while erecting equipment, while telling reporters that after using X-ray detection technology, it not only solved the problem of difficult maintenance of power outages, but also greatly reduced the labor intensity, and also enabled early detection and early treatment, accurately judging whether the equipment was in good condition, whether the parts were loose, cracked or whether there were particles and dust inside.

After 20 minutes of effort, the X-ray detection equipment was set up. In order to avoid radiation, Zhao Jianhang and his co-workers retreated to a safe position and remotely controlled the machine to start with a computer, and the image inside the cabinet was clearly displayed on the screen in less than 15 seconds.

"Each SWITCH in the GIS cabinet has 4-6 key detection points, each point takes about 20 minutes, taking about 30 images from multiple angles, and then accurately analyzing." After testing a key point, Zhao Jianhang readjusted the position of the equipment and began to detect the next point.

The process of testing was boring and long, but Zhao Jianhang and his co-workers were meticulous, fully attentive, and not sloppy.

At about 3:00 a.m., after 2 hours of hard work, Zhao Jianhang and his co-workers, who had been tired all night, completed 6 key point tests and embarked on the road back to the work area in the dark night.

The reporter roughly calculated that it takes about 3 and a half hours to return to the work area from the work area to the completion of the operation, if they encounter wind and rain or the equipment is not in good condition, then their operation time will be longer.

In this quiet night, on the thousand-mile railway line throughout the motherland, there are thousands of power supply people like Zhao Jianhang, who lie out day and night, "invisible" behind the scenes of the high-speed rail, in countless late nights that should have fallen asleep, guarding the health of every high-speed rail "heart" with their hearts, silently playing the role of "invisible man" who guards the safety of the Spring Festival journey.
