During the first day of the Chinese New Year this year, a patient with a broken arm was under surgical anesthesia. Li Man said that in the eyes of patients, the work of anesthesiologists is "invisible", because whether in the outpatient clinic, during the operation, or after the operation, the patients are basically in contact with the surgeon. However, the anesthesiologist is the "just need" of the operation and is an indispensable factor to ensure the safety and smooth completion of the operation.

Li Man said that when on duty on holidays, the surgical anesthesiology department is busy because it is responsible for the endotracheal intubation and emergency surgery of the whole hospital.
