Research firm NPD Group today announced U.S. game sales for December 2021 and last year, with first and second runners-up being Call of Duty: Vanguard and Call of Duty: Black Ops CW. The former was number one in sales in December and last year, and the Call of Duty series also won the 13-year sales champion. The second-best-selling game in December is Halo: Infinity, the most popular game on Xbox. Pokémon: Crystal Diamond/Sparkling Pearl was ranked third in December, and Nintendo platform was the winner of the year in December. Resident Evil 8: The Village is number 8 on the 2021 sales charts.
