China Economic Network Beijing, January 19, 2019 Yesterday, the Beijing Consumers Association released the results of the comparison test of smart door locks. In the past two years, the Beijing Consumers Association has continuously carried out comparative tests and security reliability tests on smart door lock products sold on e-commerce platforms, and the main test items include "logo inspection, fingerprint unlock test, information identification card anti-copy test, anti-demolition alarm test, circuit abnormal test, image recognition test, input error alarm test, information security test, and key sound and light prompt risk test". The problems found in the test mainly focus on "incomplete logo information, easy to copy IC card, poor circuit reliability, no anti-demolition alarm function, poor image recognition function safety, and poor information security". The Beijing Consumer Association informed the test results to the tested door lock enterprises.

In April 2021, the Beijing Consumers Association organized the "Smart Door Lock Comparison Test Enterprise Interview" in Beijing, at which the problems found in the previous test were analyzed, standard publicity and technical exchanges were carried out, and the enterprise was required to rectify within a time limit, apply for retesting and sign a product consistency statement after rectification to ensure that the door locks applied for retesting by enterprises are consistent with the quality of door locks sold in the market.

In accordance with the requirements of the Beijing Consumer Association, Zhongjiayuan (Beijing) Testing and Certification Co., Ltd. retested the 20 smart door locks applied for after rectification of 18 enterprises. In the process of retesting, Xijian, Charm Lock, Hisense, Black Dragon, Samsung, Xiaoyan Intelligence, Dinggu a total of seven companies said that the first test involved in the model of the door lock is no longer produced, and promised in writing that the subsequent production of door locks will be developed and produced in strict accordance with the standard, putting the safety of consumers and the quality of door locks in the first place.

For the first time, a total of 16 brands and product models with problems were detected, including smart door locks with SHP-DR718 produced by Samsung and smart door locks with M2 models produced by Westinghouse in the United States.

The results of the comparative test of the smart door lock of the Beijing Consumer Association show that the smart door lock produced by Samsung with the model of SHP-DR718 has the following problems: the information of the "name", "specification model", "name of the enterprise" and "address" of the outer packaging product is incomplete, the information identification card anti-copy test and the image recognition test use the printed photo display without corresponding functions, the input error alarm does not meet the requirements of the GA 374-2019 standard, and the information security test has a risk, and the pass ratio is 57.1%.

The smart door lock produced by Westinghouse in the United States has the following problems: the fingerprint unlock test can be unlocked by a fake fingerprint and promotes a living fingerprint, etc., there is no anti-demolition alarm function in the anti-demolition alarm test, there is an error immediately after the fault is applied in the abnormal test of the circuit, the image recognition test can be unlocked using printed photos, and the input error alarm does not meet the requirements of the GA 374-2019 standard, and the pass ratio is 44.4%.

According to the test results, in order to maximize the safety of consumers using smart door locks, the Beijing Consumers Association recommends that consumers purchase and use smart door locks:

(1) You should choose the door lock of a large brand enterprise, and view and save the logo information of the box in case the door lock fails to contact the enterprise.

(2) Care should be taken to keep the IC card properly to prevent the card from being exposed to the outside and being copied.

(3) When entering the password, it should be properly blocked to prevent being spied on.

(4) Regularly wipe the smart door lock to prevent the password from being calculated through fingerprint residue and unlock marks.

(5) A door lock with an anti-demolition alarm function should be purchased, which can issue an audible/light alarm when the door lock is broken, which helps to force the sabotage to stop.

(6) If you choose a door lock with a face unlock function, you should ensure that you have the function of recognizing three-dimensional face information.
