After comparative tests by professional institutions, it was found that the problems of smart door locks were mainly concentrated in "incomplete logo information, easy to copy IC cards, poor circuit reliability, no anti-demolition alarm function, poor image recognition function security, and poor information security". Among them, 16 smart door lock brands such as Samsung, Dinggu, Wrigley, and Starfish do not meet the relevant standards and are notified to the media by the Beijing Municipal Consumer Association.
It is also understood that in the spirit of promoting product quality improvement and maximizing the protection of consumer rights and interests, in April 2021, the Beijing Municipal Consumer Association organized the "Smart Door Lock Comparison Test Enterprise Interview" in Beijing, at which the problems found in the previous test were analyzed, standard publicity and technical exchanges were conducted, and enterprises were required to rectify within a time limit, apply for retesting after rectification and sign a product conformity statement to ensure that the quality of the door locks applied for retesting by enterprises is consistent with the quality of door locks sold in the market.
The Beijing Municipal Consumer Association issued six suggestions for the purchase and use of smart door locks.
1. You should purchase the door lock of a large brand enterprise, and view and save the logo information of the packaging box in case the door lock fails to contact the enterprise.
2. Attention should be paid to properly keeping the IC card to prevent the card from being exposed to the outside and being copied.
3. When entering the password, it should be properly blocked to prevent being spied on.
4. Regularly wipe the smart door lock to prevent the password from being calculated through fingerprint residue and unlock traces.
5. The door lock with the anti-demolition alarm function should be purchased, and the sound/light alarm can be issued when the door lock is broken, which helps to force the sabotage to stop.
6. If you choose a door lock with face unlock function, you should ensure that you have the function of recognizing three-dimensional face information.
