Samsung, the United States Westinghouse and other 16 smart door locks were detected as safety issues

Beijing News (reporter Zhang Jie) on January 18, the Beijing Consumer Association released a smart door lock comparison test report, 16 brands of door lock safety and reliability tests have problems, including Samsung, the United States Westinghouse, KingKu Jingu and other brands.

The comparative test results show that there are problems in the safety and reliability test of 16 products tested for the first time, including Samsung (model SHP-DR718), advantages (model E1 92E1ZB0020), Westinghouse (model M2), Wrigley (model 916) and so on. In the process of retesting, Xijian, Charm Lock, Hisense, Black Dragon, Samsung, Xiaoyan Intelligence, Dinggu a total of 7 companies said that the door locks involved in the first test will no longer be produced, and promised in writing that the door locks of subsequent production will be developed and produced in strict accordance with the standards.

The Beijing News reporter learned that the problems found in the test mainly focused on "incomplete logo information, easy to copy IC cards, poor circuit reliability, no anti-demolition alarm function, poor image recognition function security, and poor information security".

According to the test results, in order to maximize the safety of consumers using smart door locks, the Beijing Consumer Association recommends that consumers should pay attention to the following problems when purchasing and using smart door locks:

(1) You should choose the door lock of a large brand enterprise, and view and save the logo information of the box in case the door lock fails to contact the enterprise.

(2) Care should be taken to keep the IC card properly to prevent the card from being exposed to the outside and being copied.

(3) When entering the password, it should be properly blocked to prevent being spied on.

(4) Regularly wipe the smart door lock to prevent the password from being calculated through fingerprint residue and unlock marks.

(5) A door lock with an anti-demolition alarm function should be purchased, which can issue an audible/light alarm when the door lock is broken, which helps to force the sabotage to stop.

(6) If you choose a door lock with a face unlock function, you should ensure that you have the function of recognizing three-dimensional face information.
