Beijing Consumer Association test: Samsung, Hisense and other 16 smart door lock brands have poor security and reliability

Beijing News Shell Financial News (reporter Zhao Fangyuan) on January 18, the Beijing Consumer Association released a comparative test report on smart door locks, of which the smart door locks of Samsung, Dinggu, Wrigley, Hisense and other brands have poor security and reliability.

The comparative test results show that there are problems in the safety and reliability test of 16 products tested for the first time, including Samsung (model SHP-DR718), advantages (model E192E1ZB0020), Westinghouse (model M2), Wrigley (model 916) and so on. In the process of retesting, Xijian, Meisuo, Hisense, Heilong, Samsung, Xiaoyan Intelligence, Dinggu a total of 7 companies said that the first test involving the model of the door lock is no longer produced, and promised in writing that the subsequent door lock will be developed and produced in strict accordance with the standard.

It is understood that the smart door locks of this comparative test are purchased by the staff of the Beijing Municipal Consumer Association from the e-commerce platform, and the main test items include "logo inspection, fingerprint unlock test, information identification card anti-copy test, anti-demolition alarm test, circuit abnormal test, image recognition test, input error alarm test, information security test, key sound and light prompt risk test" and so on.

After comparative tests by professional institutions, it was found that the problems of smart door locks were mainly concentrated in "incomplete logo information, easy to copy IC cards, poor circuit reliability, no anti-demolition alarm function, poor image recognition function security, and poor information security".

The Beijing Consumers Association recommends that consumers should pay attention to the following issues when purchasing and using smart door locks:

(1) You should choose the door lock of a large brand enterprise, and view and save the logo information of the box in case the door lock fails to contact the enterprise.

(2) Care should be taken to keep the IC card properly to prevent the card from being exposed to the outside and being copied.

(3) When entering the password, it should be properly blocked to prevent being spied on.

(4) Regularly wipe the smart door lock to prevent the password from being calculated through fingerprint residue and unlock marks.

(5) A door lock with an anti-demolition alarm function should be purchased, which can issue an audible/light alarm when the door lock is broken, which helps to force the sabotage to stop.

(6) If you choose a door lock with a face unlock function, you should ensure that you have the function of recognizing three-dimensional face information.
