Beijing Consumer Association comparative test report: Samsung, Westinghouse, Wrigley and other 16 smart door locks safety and reliability is poor

Figure: There is a problem with the safety reliability test door lock information

Recently, the Beijing Consumer Association released a comparative test report on the safety performance of smart door locks. The results show that the security and reliability of smart door locks of brands such as Samsung, Westinghouse, and Wrigley are poor.

It is reported that the samples of smart door locks in this comparative test were purchased by the staff of the Beijing Municipal Consumer Association from the e-commerce platform, involving 42 products of 39 brands, including common brands such as Xiaomi, Gree, Panasonic, Lenovo, Philips, and Haier.

The comparative test tested the logo, fingerprint unlocking, information identification card anti-copying, anti-demolition alarm, circuit condition, image recognition, input error alarm, information security, key sound and light prompt risk and other items of the sample.

After the comparative test of professional institutions, it was found that the problems of smart door locks were mainly concentrated in the incomplete logo information, easy to copy IC cards, poor circuit reliability, no anti-demolition alarm function, poor image recognition function security, and poor information security.

It is worth noting that previously, the Beijing Municipal Consumer Association informed the relevant enterprises of the test results and organized a smart door lock comparison test enterprise interview meeting, requiring the enterprise to rectify within a time limit. In the process of retesting, 7 companies such as Xijian, Meisuo, Hisense, Black Dragon, Samsung, Xiaoyan Intelligence, and Dinggu said that the door locks involved in the testing were no longer produced, and promised in writing that the door locks produced in the follow-up production would be developed and produced in strict accordance with the standards.

According to the test results, in order to maximize the safety of consumers using smart door locks, the Beijing Consumer Association recommends that consumers should try to buy products from large brand enterprises when purchasing and using smart door locks, and view and save the logo information of the packaging box in case the door lock fails to contact the enterprise; pay attention to properly keep the IC card to prevent the card from being exposed to the outside and being copied; when entering the password, it should be properly blocked to prevent being spied on; regularly wipe the smart door lock to prevent the password from being calculated through fingerprint residue and unlock traces Purchase a door lock with anti-demolition alarm function, which can issue an acoustic (light) alarm when the door lock is broken, which helps to force the sabotage to stop; if you choose a door lock with a face unlock function, you should ensure that it has the function of recognizing three-dimensional facial information.
