Face to face with robots, think about the connotation of "happiness"

◎Zhong Kunzhi, Class 2 (1) of the Affiliated Middle School of South China Normal University ◎ Instructor Ge Jing

On January 12, we put on the vest of a small reporter in Nandu and drove to Bozhilin Robot Co., Ltd. in Beijiao Town, Foshan City. On the way, I'm looking forward to the journey – what do those robots look like? Isn't it as cute as The Dancing Robots of Haixinsha? How capable will they be?

Directed by the "brain" The construction robot works methodically

When we arrived at the company's exhibition hall, we saw all kinds of robots on display, some of which were not small, and I was dazzled to see them. A staff member started to introduce us to their features. What attracted me the most was the construction robot. According to the staff, these robots can be responsible for building houses, they have a clear division of labor, can cooperate with each other, and almost realize the automation of the building. For example, the construction of external buildings is first poured by intelligent follow-up robots, and then paved by ground leveling robots. After that, the ground polishing robot and the corner handling robot started at the same time, making the freshly poured plane smoother. Finally, wait for it to solidify and the spray maintenance robot will be on the field. The interior decoration is also a clear division of labor and orderly. There are screw hole blocking robots to judge the safety of the walls, and putty coating robots to make the original gray walls white and bright...

Robots are not only able to do all kinds of work, but also much more efficient than humans. For example, the floor tile laying robot can lay a floor tile in 9.5 seconds, and the efficiency is generally three times higher than that of labor. The exterior wall of the talent room opposite the company is sprayed, and the workers have to paint one wall for 10 days, but two robots work at the same time, and they can all be brushed in one day. It also has a wind suppression system that prevents the shaking of the machine caused by high winds and is safer than manual. Hearing this, while admiring the ability of robots, I can't help but wonder: how do they work with each other in an orderly manner with so many robots? The staff said that the company has established a BIM system, all the data collected by the robot will be uploaded to this system, and the instructions and material allocation will be issued by the background, and different robots can rely on this system to communicate with each other. It turns out that robots all have a common precision running brain! Under the command of this "brain", construction robots perform their respective duties, making the construction of houses more convenient, more environmentally friendly and safer.

"Belly" will stir-fry The robot chef's products are good

Nandu Little Reporter Future Camp members use their mobile phones to record the work of robot chefs.

After visiting the exhibition hall, we went to the robot restaurant next to us to eat. As soon as I entered the door, I found that this robot restaurant and the general restaurant were very different. There are few waiters, there are few chefs, and the work of delivering, serving and cooking is all done by robots. There are teleportation robots, hot pot robots, stir-fry robots, and even a few robots that specialize in making pot rice! The "chefs" have all kinds of martial arts: steaming and stir-frying, simmering and frying. Across from our table, there are three cooking robots that look like human bodies, and their "belly" is an iron pot with various ingredients stir-frying. When the cabbage is to be added, the mechanical arm grabs a few cabbages for it and puts them in the "belly"; when it is to be stewed, the mechanical arm automatically covers the lid. When the time comes, the dish will be "grabbed" by a gripper and placed in the tray. The tray would be transported through an intricate pipe above the ceiling and finally parachuted onto our desk. The taste of the meal really amazed me: it tasted so good! What a fragrance! It seems that the process of developing and cooking the recipes has also been carefully designed.

After eating, the question posed by the teacher led me to think: Can this stir-fry robot completely replace the chef? It is undeniable that robots have advantages in replacing manual stir-fry. It has a powerful backstage system that can standardize and stylize the heat of stir-fry dishes and the softness and hardness of ingredients, so the quality and taste of the dishes produced are stable. Cooking robots can also save us from oil smoke, and it is also more efficient than people, which can shorten the waiting time of customers. But I don't think robots can completely replace humans. The cuisine of Chinese food is diverse, with a wide variety of dishes and different methods. Robots have a unified "standard" program, but it is difficult to achieve personalized production. For example, the same dish, some people ask for salty, some people ask for a little more coke, some people ask for a little worse, can the robot temporarily adjust in the inherent program? Moreover, chefs have learned for many years and have developed a wealth of experience, and these personalized contents are difficult to accurately represent in stylized language. In addition, different chefs will have different understandings of the same dish, so the product will also include the chef's creation. The production of the robot is highly unified, and some "pyrotechnic gas" will be missing.

Artificial intelligence helps human beings pursue happiness

Nandu small reporter future camp essay: face to face with the robot to think about the connotation of "happiness"

The small reporter in Nandu lamented the magic of science and technology and at the same time thought about the fate of mankind.

Looking at the robots in front of me, I fell into contemplation: the era of AI artificial intelligence is coming, and some jobs that will only repeat machinery are destined to be replaced by artificial intelligence. How will humanity respond to this change? For example, workers who only paint must make their craft more refined and refined, so that they will not be easily replaced. Only by making ourselves stronger will we not be easily replaced. The pace of scientific and technological progress is unstoppable, and the intelligent era solves the problem of how to make people's lives more convenient and safe, but I think this is not enough, the intelligent era also allows more people to have more happiness, and this is the ability of human beings to be easily replaced.
