From stand-alone operation to multi-machine collaboration, Country Garden construction robot has entered a new stage

After entering the field of construction robots for 3 years, Country Garden Group has once again made a milestone breakthrough.

On December 30, 2021, Guangdong Bozhilin Robot Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Bozhilin"), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Country Garden Group, completed the acceptance of the "BIM+FMS+WMS+ Construction Robot" multi-machine construction system for the first time in Shantou Jinping Project, with a total of 8 construction robots, 6 transportation and feeding robots, and 5 centralized workstations to carry out multi-machine collaborative decoration construction operations.

Based on this, For the first time, Bozhilin ran through the end-to-end intelligent construction ecological practice in the decoration stage, and initially built a complete full-cycle construction closed loop. This means that Bozhilin has been able to scientifically lay out the construction process at a specific construction stage, allowing multiple construction robots to carry out autonomous construction operations like assembly lines, and take another big step towards the goal of intelligent construction.

"BIM + FMS + WMS + Construction Robot" multi-machine collaboration system can be simply understood as, built a BIM (Building Information Model) collaboration platform, the core content of the planning is distributed to FMS (Robot Collaborative Management System), WMS (Warehouse Management System) to provide material support, on the basis of the coordination of these three systems, construction robots in each work area to complete intelligent assembly line efficient construction.

BiM collaboration platform is a powerful intelligent construction task planning center, independently developed by Bo Zhilin, the core of the planning includes two aspects: how to construct the construction robot, how to guarantee the related materials, the details of both will be included in the work order distribution to FMS.

Combined with specific cases, the Bim collaboration platform first combined with the master data of the Shantou project to generate a customized BIM model map, provided to the path planning system, and planned the robot construction path; at the same time, the BIM material takeoff system is pushed to the BIM planning scheduling system after matching the commodity library according to the pre-set rules, and the construction plan is associated with the amount of materials, and finally the BIM collaboration platform forms a robot construction work order and is issued to FMS.

At this point, the resource information such as industrial technicians, building materials, and construction robot equipment that need to be equipped for robot construction has been planned online in advance, and intelligent construction has completed the first step: intelligent planning and layout.

Since then, the work task has been handed over to the FMS system, which is mainly responsible for the control and task scheduling of the robot. After receiving the work order, the FMS system will generate and issue the operation path to the corresponding robot according to the BIM data, and the robot will start the operation in an orderly manner and monitor the operation process throughout the process.

At the same time, the FMS system also distributes work orders to the WMS system through intelligent scheduling algorithm synchronously to allocate materials to meet the needs of robot construction. After the overall construction is completed, the system can also timely feedback the completion status of the work order and the actual material consumption to the upstream system, realizing the double closed loop of the work order and the material.

It is reported that the construction management screen of the Country Garden Shantou project site can clearly present the construction situation of 8 construction robots in different working surfaces in real time. Through the large screen, the project management personnel can monitor the construction status and operation location of the construction robot in real time, the operation progress, the amount of materials, etc., and the overall coordination of the construction progress is very convenient and efficient.

If the FMS system is the "chief commander" and "the strongest brain", the WMS system is the "chief logistics officer" and "material management master", which can realize the automatic scheduling of logistics robots, the automatic control of intelligent elevators, the accurate management and data monitoring of material consumption, for example, its management of material consumption on the construction site can be accurate to any building, floor, apartment type, how much paint is used, how many tiles are used.

In the whole process of process execution, WMS will monitor the outbound, transportation and data feedback of materials in real time throughout the process, so that the material data matches the plan made by the BIM collaborative platform, and realizes the closed loop of the smart site material system.

On the basis of the coordination of the three major systems, the construction robot completes the intelligent assembly line and efficient construction in each operation area, such as the robot working surface of the wall tile paving, the industrial technician assists the robot to fill the tile glue, and the brick robot independently completes the bricking. Then the industry technician selects the work area on the tablet computer, issues instructions with one key, and the robot quickly starts to go to the designated location to carry out the independent brick laying construction operation, and immediately feedback the work order to the planned schedule after the operation is completed.

Of course, the most critical part of the multi-machine collaboration system lies in the development, production and application of construction robots. Since its establishment in July 2018, Primus has concentrated on the research and development, production and application of construction robots, and promoted the application of new prefabricated building systems.

In the three years since its establishment, Bozhilin has invested a lot of manpower and material resources, the key components and basic sharing technologies of the robot under development cover the eight core modules of construction robots, a number of technologies have filled the gap in the field of construction robots, and the self-developed robot controllers have been applied in batches, with a cumulative delivery of nearly 850 pieces.

By the end of 2021, Primuslin has 46 construction robots under research, has submitted 3468 valid patent applications, and has been authorized 1670, with a number of independent core technologies in key areas.

At the same time, the commercialization process of Bozhilin has accelerated, with 18 construction robots put into commercial application first, and at the same time promoting the pilot work of robot housing construction in projects across the country, including completing the robot participation in the construction of demonstration areas, establishing a robot dispatching center, and running through the multi-machine joint construction mode of robots, realizing less human or intelligent construction operations.

In addition, in February last year, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development issued the "Letter on Agreeing to Carry out Intelligent Construction Pilot Project", and the Foshan Shunde Fengtong Garden Project was among them, which is also the only pilot project in China that has truly introduced construction robots and applied them in batches to the engineering construction process.

Not only in the application of Country Garden's own projects, in 2021, Primus Lin construction robots have also successively gone out to participate in the construction of external units. For example, in May 2021, The construction robot of the four concrete product lines of Bozhilin completed the construction application work for the first time for the external unit China Railway Construction Engineering Guangzhou Baiyun Station Project, and when it was accepted, the results met the quality requirements.

As of the end of December 2021, Bozhilin Construction Robot has started intelligent operations throughout the country, covering more than 350 projects in more than 25 provinces (municipalities directly under the central government and autonomous regions), with a cumulative delivery of more than 730 units and a cumulative application construction area of more than 7 million square meters.

The research and development of construction robot stand-alone equipment is only the first step in the long march, so that the construction site construction is as scientific and orderly as the production line, intelligent coordination, which is a more arduous goal.

In 2021, Country Garden will focus on the test of "dismantling a building", hoping to make construction robots work like assembly line production through scientific laying out of construction processes.
