The theme activity of "Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts Entering Dubai World Expo" is scheduled to open on January 25 at the Chinese Culture Center in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, which will take art education as the main line and cultural exchange as the guide, and tell the story of Chinese art and design on the international stage by holding photo exhibitions of "Yiqi anti-epidemic" works, "Ice Pier" design achievements exhibition, excellent teaching achievements exhibition and academic seminars, highlighting China's strength and Chinese spirit.
As the earliest university in China to explore the modern design education model of "industry,300," the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts has a deep relationship with the World Expo. In 2005, relying on the efficient and high-energy "industry-university-research" platform of Jimei Design Engineering Company, Guangmei won the design and production project of the China Pavilion of the Aichi World Expo in Japan in competition with nearly 20 design units at home and abroad.
At the 2010 Shanghai World Expo, the Guangmei "Industry-University-Research" platform and the team of teachers and students once again showed their skills, winning the exhibition deepening design of the World Expo National Pavilion, the general contracting of the exhibition project of the Expo Theme Pavilion City People's Pavilion, the design and construction of the Shanxi Provincial Pavilion of the World Expo, and the design and production of the Zhongshan Pavilion of the World Expo City Best Practice Area, so as to deeply serve the country and the society with professional capabilities.
Xie Changjing, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, said that art is a bridge to communicate the soul and the world; the theme of this year's Dubai World Expo is also "Communicating Ideas, Creating the Future". At present, Guangmei is standing at the new starting point of the successfully approved doctoral degree awarding unit, hoping to build a new and confident external expression model with a world vision, so that Guangmei can understand the world, let the world know Guangmei, and understand China more deeply through Guangmei.
