Since its launch in April last year, the 2021 Chinese Calligraphy Annual Exhibition and the National Cursive Works Exhibition has solicited more than 8,000 manuscripts nationwide. After the expert review organized by the Chinese Calligraphers Association, a total of 204 works were selected for inclusion in the exhibition. The exhibition also specially invites the works of national calligraphy masters, covering a variety of styles and genres, and is an overall display of contemporary national calligraphy and cursive writing.

After the opening ceremony, the national calligraphy masters and Jingchu calligraphy masters went to Wuhan Tongji Hospital, Wuhan Donghu New Town Community, and Hubei Provincial Library Hall respectively, and at the same time jointly carried out the public welfare activities of "One Heart and One Book, Good New Year of the Motherland" and wrote the Spring Festival and sent the word "Fu".
