It is reported that the fixed clip of the vehicle fuel tank pressure sensor within the scope of this recall does not meet the requirements for corrosion resistance. After the long-term use of the vehicle, the fixing clip may weaken the fixing force due to corrosion, resulting in the fuel tank pressure sensor may be loosened due to vibration during the driving process of the vehicle, and in extreme cases, the sealing of the fuel tank may be affected, which in turn will not meet the requirements of the relevant laws and regulations on the sealing of the motor vehicle fuel system, and there are safety hazards and unreasonable emission risks.
Mercedes-Benz (China) Automotive Sales Co., Ltd. will replace the fuel tank pressure sensor fixing clips free of charge for vehicles within the scope of the recall to eliminate safety hazards and unreasonable emission risks.
