Recently, Mercedes-Benz (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulations in accordance with the requirements of the Regulations on the Administration of the Recall of Defective Automobile Products, the Measures for the Implementation of the Regulations on the Administration of the Recall of Defective Automobile Products and the Regulations on the Administration of The Recall of Motor Vehicle Emissions. Effective February 11, 2022, the recall will be made of a total of 639 GLE SUV vehicles with production dates from February 17, 2020 to December 19, 2020.

The fixing clips of the vehicle fuel tank pressure sensors covered by this recall do not meet the requirements for corrosion resistance. After the long-term use of the vehicle, the fixing clip may weaken the fixing force due to corrosion, resulting in the fuel tank pressure sensor may be loosened due to vibration during the driving process of the vehicle, and in extreme cases, the sealing of the fuel tank may be affected, which in turn will not meet the requirements of the relevant laws and regulations on the sealing of the motor vehicle fuel system, and there are safety hazards and unreasonable emission risks.
Mercedes-Benz (China) Automotive Sales Co., Ltd. will replace the fuel tank pressure sensor fixing clips free of charge for vehicles within the scope of the recall to eliminate safety hazards and unreasonable emission risks.
