Gray-walled dewa, wooden gate ancient road, cornice arch, window painting building... The simple and elegant calligraphy and painting works attracted many citizens to stop and watch. On the morning of January 15th, the exhibition of Zheng Haiou's art works "Let Art Enter the Homes of Ordinary People" was exhibited at the Yangjiang Art Museum, with a total of 173 works of art.
It is understood that Zheng Haiou is a native of Yangxi, Guangdong Province, engaged in the creation of calligraphy and painting for more than 40 years, and is currently a director of the Yangjiang Artists Association, the chairman of the Yangjiang Branch of the Sketching China Yangjiang Branch, the president of the Yangjiang Individual Association Calligraphy and Painting Art Branch, a member of the Jiangxi Arts and Crafts Society, and a visiting professor of Nanchang Vocational University and Jingdezhen Ceramic University.
In preparation for this solo exhibition, since August 2018, Zheng Haiou began to sketch and create on the ground, and in addition to the landscapes and houses of Yangjiang, the sketching footprints have spread all over the country. A total of 173 of his calligraphy, paintings and ceramics, as well as a batch of ceramic handicrafts, are exhibited in this exhibition. "Among them, there are more than 40 ceramic works, and I have gone to all over the country to sketch more than 50 works." Zheng Haiou said.
Chen Sirui, chairman of the Yangjiang Municipal Artists Association, said that Mr. Zheng Haiou's works are mainly based on painting houses, and in the past few years, he went to all parts of the country to sketch, and the houses he painted were very personal. "In recent years, his ceramic paintings have made great progress, and he has integrated residential houses with ceramic paintings by going to Jingdezhen to study ceramic paintings, and the works he has created are relatively close to the masses and are very popular with the masses."
Liang Ce, honorary chairman of the Yangjiang Artists Association, who has sketched with Mr. Zheng Haiou many times, said that Mr. Zheng Haiou's paintings have their own characteristics, especially painting some house themes have their own style, "Other subjects he also paints, but he does not paint houses as well." I have gone with him many times to sketch, he has his opinion, he uses ink very pure and clean, the picture is also very neat, his requirements for ink are very high."
As the chairman of the Yangjiang Branch of Sketching China, Zheng Haiou also plans to lead the painters of Yangjiang, China to go out and carry out sketching exchanges and exhibitions throughout the country, and strive to create a number of artistic masterpieces. "This exhibition is my first solo exhibition. Next, I plan to lead everyone around the country to sketch, and then I will publish a few more personal art collections."
