On January 15th, the opening ceremony of the "Beijing Winter Olympics - Invitation Exhibition of Famous Calligraphy and Seal Engravers in China" sponsored by the Beijing Haidian District Culture and Tourism Bureau, Beijing Haidian Art Museum (North Hall), The Chinese Calligraphy and Painters Association, and the Jingpai Calligraphy Research Association was held in the North Hall of Haidian Art Museum.

In order to consolidate the achievements of Haidian in building a demonstration area for the construction of a national public cultural service system, Beijing Haidian Art Museum (North Hall) opened the prelude to the series of activities of the 2022 "Sea Spring" New Year Cultural Season with the theme of "Beijing Winter Olympics".
The exhibition sorts out the state of exploration and practice of the artists in the inheritance tradition and innovation of calligraphy and seal engraving, as well as the understanding and perception of the connotation, form, composition and aesthetics of the calligraphy and seal engraving artists in their creation, and uses lines and exquisite artistic language to sprinkle a new artistic chapter of the times.

Gao Qingwei, curator of this exhibition, deputy director and secretary general of the Art Museum of the China Association for the Promotion of Culture, introduced that after nearly half a year of preparation, with the strong support of artists, 104 old, middle-aged and young artists across the country, including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, created 163 masterpieces with the theme of "Beijing Winter Olympics", which is a time whether in academic standards, specifications, scale, or thematic and ideological, it is to show the current situation of Chinese calligraphy seal engraving. A national exhibition of calligraphy and seal engraving that showcases China's excellent traditional culture to the world.
It is reported that the "Beijing Winter Olympics - National Famous Calligraphy and Seal Engraver Invitation Exhibition" was held in the early stage of the online cloud exhibition. From January 11, it will be held at the Haidian Art Museum (North Building) in Beijing, and the exhibition will last until March 6.
