The origin of the "Spring Festival"

"His name is Wang Wan, he has been fascinated by jiangnan customs all his life, he has traveled between Wu and Chu, and when he resigns the old and welcomes the new, he cannot return to his hometown, even if he sits on this beautiful scenery of the southern country, it is inevitable that people will feel sad." Thus, there is this famous poem that has been passed down through the ages. The green mountains and rivers can not stop the nostalgia, and the boats and cars are only for a year's livelihood. People can't pinpoint why Wang Wan didn't go home to reunite with his relatives this year, but the nostalgia for his hometown expressed in his poems has crossed the times and touched everyone who is wandering outside.

Also in the same mood as Wang Wan is Gao Shi. One year, this famous border poet sent troops to Jibei, and after the mission was completed, the horseshoe of the southern return could not keep up with the pace of the New Year, so he had to stay in a hotel in Jibei. At this time, Gao Shi was nearly fifty years old, and inadvertently glanced into the mirror and found that his sideburns were already white, so he took up his pen and wrote a poem: "The hotel is cold and sleepless, and the guest's heart is sad." The first two sentences of this poem are unremarkable, but in the third sentence, the peak turns, the poet looks back on his life, and what haunts him is the distant hometown, which cannot go back to this year in this xiaosuo border plug. But what about next year? Will I be able to return to my hometown during the Spring Festival next year? Another year" means a lot, perhaps, for people like Gao Shi who run for their homeland all day, going home for the New Year is a luxury, next year the poet's gray hair may be more, and next year's New Year's hometown will still be far away.
Of course, not everyone who is still wandering on the occasion of the New Year will be touched by the scene, and some people who cannot return home in the New Year will be full of hope and high morale. During the Orthodox period of the Ming Dynasty, the famous minister Yu Qian was unable to return to his hometown of Hangzhou because he was guarding Taiyuan. The bitter cold of the northern winter is bitter, but Yu Qian wrote an inspiring poem in this bitter cold: "Send a message to the end of the world, and use sorrow at the bottom of the cold." The spring breeze is not far away, only on the east side of the house. The poem is titled "Except for the Cold in Taiyuan at Night", but this "Cold" yu Qian seems to be nothing more than a "light cold" that does not need to worry, and the coming spring breeze has long been waiting for people at the east end of his house. This peace of mind is my hometown. Yu Qian's spirit of being at ease with the encounter has brought a strong warmth to this cold New Year.
Compose poems to send homesickness
In fact, the so-called "Spring Festival" is not ancient. The first time the word appeared was around 1980, with the pace of reform and opening up, more and more people chose to go out to work, and the Spring Festival brought not only holidays to these people in a foreign land, but also the call of their hometown. When "Spring Festival" becomes the key word of the year, when going home is no longer a luxury, this is the credit of scientific and technological progress, but also the clear evidence of China's prosperity - in this land, billions of people in such a concentrated time to complete a large migration equivalent to the population of Africa, Europe, the Americas, Oceania combined, which is the miracle brought about by China's take-off.

There is no idleness or idleness
Since ancient times, China has advocated etiquette, and officials in the DYNASTY will have corresponding holidays every New Year's Festival. For such an important festival as the Spring Festival, the holiday is of course longer. Taking the Song Dynasty as an example, the "Song Hui To Compile The Draft" clearly states that the Spring Festival is "seven days off", which is clearly our current Spring Festival small long holiday. But even with such a long holiday, it is still extremely difficult for officials to return to their hometowns for the New Year.

In the Song Dynasty, the governor in charge of the local government could not leave the territory even during the Spring Festival. This is, of course, for the sake of local safety. He wrote a poem to his brother Su Shi, which was full of complaints: "The seventh degree of Jiangnan made his own year, and at the beginning of last year, he liked to serve pepper plates." Dong Lai mistakenly entered Wenchang Province, and did not allow him to return the house for several days. "This is the first time that Su Rui has entered Beijing as an official. He had been a magistrate in Jiangnan for a long time, and he felt that it was very lonely for a person to celebrate the New Year in situ, but this time when he entered Beijing, he found that he could not only return home for the New Year, but also had to be on duty, so he had a great sigh of being deceived. It can be seen how difficult it was for officials in ancient times to go home for the New Year.
