BaishaXi Tea Factory Old Factory Complex was built in 1948, in order to develop Anhua black tea production, expand the plant, in Baisha Xikou to use the Zijiang River water transport and Baisha Creek boat dock advantages, the construction of seven star stove roasting workshop, pressing workshop, brick tea baking room, black brick tea pressing workshop, old Xiangjian tea workshop, blending workshop, raw material warehouse, hand-built brick tea workshop and other 10 factory buildings, all brick wooden structure, wooden staircase, plant are built along the middle passage on both sides, in the workshop and the second floor of the workshop are connected to the two sides of the factory building It is convenient for the production of unloading and transshipment of semi-finished products. The whole house is covered with small green tiles, covered with wooden skylights, all structures are laid out reasonably, the design is scientific, the house is bright, ventilated and breathable, the production is advanced, the preservation is complete, and the normal production has been continued. In 2011, the people's government of Anhua County announced the old factory area of Baishaxi Tea Factory as a county-level cultural relics protection unit in Anhua County (An Zhengfa [2011] No. 22), one of the eight cultural relics left by Anhua Tea Industry.

Anhua is an important node city in Meishan tea producing area, and the old factory area of Baishaxi Tea Factory is the processing remnant of the production section of Wanli Tea Ceremony, which has played an extremely important role in the production and processing of Anhua black tea and export. The preserved factory buildings and production technologies that have been passed down to the present day represent the high level of tea factory architecture and tea-making skills in the late Qing Dynasty, have a distinct sense of the times, have a unique representation in the early building complex of similar tea factories, accumulate a heavy historical and cultural heritage, and are precious objects for studying the development of modern and modern Chinese national industries. In the construction of drying houses in the place of origin, the BaishaXi Tea Factory set a precedent for the first time. In 1953, Baishaxi successfully produced the first piece of porcelain brick tea in Hunan, which was a historic breakthrough and promoted the prosperity and development of The tea industry in Hunan. The announcement of the old factory area of Baishaxi Tea Factory as the eleventh batch of provincial-level cultural relics protection units in Hunan Province is of great significance, scientific research value, historical and cultural value.
