In 1903, the rule of the Manchu Qing government was already crumbling, and Yu Yifu was born in the twin cities of Jilin in this environment, unlike most children, Yu Yifu was born in a landlord family. With this special layer of family color,
Yu Yifu was fortunate to go on the road to study.
As a teenager, Yu Yifu suffered a family setback, his father once followed Dr. Sun Yat-sen, but later because the fruits of the Xinhai Revolution were stolen by Yuan Shikai, his father, who was a propaganda envoy in Heilongjiang Province, was soon wanted by the local warlords.
In order to avoid disaster, my father had to move his family to Tianjin.
In 1918, at the age of 15, Yu Yifu was successfully admitted to Nankai Middle School. However, in two years, Yu Yifu was admitted to Tongji University. During his studies at Tongji University, Yu Yifu actively accepted advanced ideas and was admitted to Beijing Civilian University in 1922
。 During his studies and life in Beijing, Yu Yifu participated in the patriotic movement many times.
It was also because of his participation in the patriotic movement that Yu Yifu had to transfer to Yenching University in 1924. It is worth mentioning that Yu Yifu met Xu Zhimo who wrote "Farewell to Kangqiao" here, you know, Yu Yifu is also quite accomplished in literary creation.
The two met with similar interests and soon became close friends.
During his studies at Yanda University, with the help of his brilliant pen and flowers, coupled with his high patriotic feelings, Yu Yifu served as the president of the school's student union. At this time, the "318 Massacre" is coming to mind in the minds of the Chinese people and has been lingering for a long time.
In response, Yu Yifu led his classmates to the streets to launch a demonstration.

In the year of graduation, Yu Yifu gave up his literary work, he saw clearly the national situation at that time, resolutely chose to throw himself into the pen and joined the Northern Expedition the next day with a gun.
Unfortunately, the great revolution, which lasted less than two years, soon failed, and Chiang Kai-shek and Wang Jingwei successively launched counter-revolutionary coups.
Yu Yifu saw the opportunity to escape, and he was unwilling to continue to serve the Kuomintang, because at such a critical moment for the country, Chiang Kai-shek and Wang Jingwei each chose to rebel against the revolution, and they could not save the country. After retiring from the Revolutionary Army, Yu Yifu returned to the northeast to take up his post.
Soon, the "918 Incident" broke out, and the three eastern provinces soon fell. Yu Yifu had no choice but to return to Beiping to make plans, and after hearing the news of Yu Yifu's return to Beiping, the Kuomintang extended an olive branch to him, but Yu Yifu was not optimistic about the Kuomintang. In 1933, with the efforts of our party, Yu Yifu began to participate in the underground intelligence work of our party.
In July 1936, Yu Yifu fought to join the Communist Party. At the end of the year, the Xi'an Incident broke out, and Yu Yifu saw the opportunity and rushed back to the northeast overnight to preside over the propaganda work, and established the Northeast Salvation Association. The main task of this organization is to preach the idea of resisting Japan and saving the country to the former northeast generals, hoping that they can lead the troops to carry guns.
Drove out the Japanese troops entrenched in the three eastern provinces.
During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, with an excellent pen holder, Yu Yifu repeatedly held important positions in liberal arts work. But at the same time, he did not put down the barrel of his gun and, like other COMRADES in the CCP, actively participated in the work of armed resistance against Japan behind enemy lines.
Great efforts were made to consolidate and strengthen the anti-Japanese base areas in northeast China.

During the Liberation War, Yu Yifu was elected chairman of Nenjiang Province by the election of the party organization. The following year, he was transferred to the chairmanship of Heilongjiang Province. At that time, Nenjiang and Heilongjiang were still two separate people's governments. Before the victory of the civil war, Yu Yifu had been engaged in the restoration of agriculture and industry in the Heilongjiang region.
It provided a great guarantee for the logistical work of the Liaoshen Campaign.
After the founding of New China, Nenjiang Province and Heilongjiang Province were merged into a new people's government, namely Heilongjiang Province. As the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China was considering who to appoint as governor, Marshal Chen Yi submitted a proposal to the top: he hoped that Yu Yifu could be appointed to stay there, after all, he had more than five years of work experience there.
After the governor of Heilongjiang Province expired, Yu Yifu was sent to Jilin to hold an important position. All in all, from the beginning of the fall of the three eastern provinces to the iron hooves of the Japanese army, Yu Yifu put all his efforts into saving the country and the nation from danger, actively participated in the revolution during the revolutionary period, and continued to rush to the front line during the construction period.
No matter where he goes, no matter what position he holds, Yu Yifu is a good comrade of our party and a good son of the country and the people.
