In October 2009, in the middle of jinjiaojiao mountain in Dongyang City, Zhejiang Province, excavator master Lao Liu inadvertently dug up an ancient tomb, he just shaved a few times at any time, and then fished out a golden cup carved with a dragon carved phoenix!
"There are ancient tombs, so many treasures!" Grab it! After a few shouts, several workers came forward, they pried open the coffin to rummage through the coffin to find the funerary goods in the coffin, less than half an hour, the ancient tomb was robbed of gold bracelets, gold noodles, gold cups and other treasures, the scene was once very chaotic...
Originally, this was the construction site of the transformation of the old village in Yangdawu Village, Dongyang City. The excavator inadvertently dug up the ancient tomb, or two green brick burial chambers. After the cultural relics were robbed, some people also reported to the local public security department for the first time.
02. Southern Song Dynasty Tombs
Law enforcement departments and cultural relics management departments quickly arrived at the scene, and after exploring, they found that it was a husband and wife burial tomb with three graves, that is, the male tomb owner and his wife and concubine.
Each grave is 3.2 meters long, 1.1 meters wide and 1.2 meters deep. The burial chamber was sealed with green bricks and then sealed with long strips of stone.
Due to its age, the embalming protection is not in place, the three coffins have decayed, and the bones of the tomb owner have decayed. Subsequently, a strict and meticulous survey of cultural relics began.
Lao Liu, who drove the excavator, was the first to discover the ancient tomb and the first to reach out and take the cultural relics privately. Therefore, it was used as a key object of cross-examination. In the end, under the repeated persuasion and education of the police, Lao Liu and several workers handed over the gold and silver objects they had hidden.
When all the artifacts were confiscated, the archaeologists were astonished!
More than 30 pieces of gold and silver are more luxurious and exquisite than they can imagine! Almost any one of them can be called a national treasure. Finally, according to the characteristics of the excavated artifacts, this tomb was identified as a Southern Song Dynasty tomb.
In particular, a piece of "Ichthyosaurus Binaural Marigold" taken away by Lao Liu, of which the golden cup: caliber 6.2 cm, bottom diameter 2.8 cm, height 5.1 cm. The silver gilded disc underneath is 14.6 cm in diameter, 11.6 cm in diameter and 1 cm in height.

There are also two "tangled gold bracelets" in the gold vessel, reaching a diameter of 5.6 cm and a width of 3 cm. A curly grass pattern gold noodle is also very eye-catching, the plutonium is double stranded, the head of the roll is engraved with a curly grass pattern, rolled into 15 strands, and the utensils are exquisite, like a peacock opening screen shining brightly.
A silver gilt cloud dragon pattern bottle, the neck is engraved with two dragons churning in the sea of clouds, and the circle foot is engraved with cloud dragon patterns.
The words "Fan Erlang" were found at the bottom of a silver bowl, which experts interpreted as also in line with the characteristics of gold and silverware during the Song Dynasty. Because, in the Song Dynasty, many gold and silverware shops often engraved the name of the shop and the name of the craftsman on the utensils in order to compete in the market and maintain the credibility of the goods.
In addition, a copper coin inscribed with the "Dading Tongbao" was found in the coffin, which was a coin minted by Jin Shizong in the Dading period of Yan Yong, which also met the time frame of the Southern Song Dynasty.
04. Who is the owner of the tomb?
Due to the serious damage to the ancient tomb and the fact that no epitaph has been unearthed, the identity of the tomb owner has never been confirmed, which has become a pity.
Based on the artifacts unearthed, archaeologists have carved out some basic information about the tomb owner:
The number of artifacts excavated from the tomb is large and of high specification, reflecting that the owner of the tomb must be a famous and prestigious family or even a person with a lord;
Among the excavated gold artifacts is a "silver gilt lotus pond Mandarin Duck Xia Xia Pendant", indicating that the female tomb owner is also a rich person, and may be a "lady of the commandment".
Because this object is decorated on the Kasumi, and the ancient book "Affairs Chronicle" has said: "The Kasumi is not to be obeyed without gifts, but for the order of the woman."
There are more than 30 pieces of gold and silver artifacts unearthed from the Southern Song Dynasty Tomb on Jinjiaojiaoshan Mountain, in addition to the ginware, silver chopsticks and silver spoons that the literati and scholars like; there are also various Song Dynasty jewelry beads with dragon patterns, fish and birds, each of which is exquisitely shaped and fascinating.
