According to incomplete statistics, during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, a total of 3.5 million Sichuan troops went out of Sichuan to resist the War, 263991 people were killed, 26,025 people were missing, 356267 wounded, 4 of the 6 lieutenant generals out of Sichuan were martyred, almost all of the first batch of more than 400 regimental-level officers who came out of Sichuan were killed, almost all the sichuan army officers in the Battle of Songhu were killed on the battlefield, and only more than 2,000 people retreated to Hubei.
The Sichuan Army can be said to be the epitome of the spirit of the entire Chinese army to fight to the death.
