When it comes to concubines, everyone is more familiar with Empress Xiaozhenxian, that is, the famous Empress Dowager Ci'an, indeed, Ci'an was given the title of Zhen (贞嫔, Zhen Guifei) before wearing the phoenix crown. However, in fact, as early as the beginning of the Qing Dynasty, this title had already been used, and she was a concubine.
Princess Dong'e came from The White Banner of Manchuria, and her father was AdaHaha Fan Badu of the First Class, a title of Manchuria, and Qianlong changed his name to Lieutenant of Light Vehicle after succeeding to the throne. Badu was a cousin of Dong Efei's father, Eshuo, and as such, Zhenfei was Dong Efei's cousin.
In fact, Princess Zhen's entry into the palace had a lot to do with her cousin Concubine Dong.
Concubine Dong entered the imperial palace in the thirteenth year of Shunzhi, and as soon as she entered the palace, she won the favor of the young Tianzi Shunzhi, and in less than half a year, she sat on the seat of the imperial concubine, and almost went further and entered the middle palace. After Dong Efei sat on the throne of the imperial concubine, she gave birth to the fourth son of the emperor, and was called the "first son" by Shunzhi, and it is clear that this fourth son of the emperor is most likely the future lord of the Qing Dynasty. On the other hand, although She was fortunate enough to enter the court of the Qing Dynasty, she was only a low-ranking concubine and could not be favored by Shunzhi for half a year. Princess Zhen was very envious of the love between the emperor and her cousin, and she also hoped that there would be such a person who loved her deeply, however, it turned out that she was self-indulgent.
However, the subsequent plot development completely exceeded Zhenfei's expectations, and after Dong Efei lost the fourth son of the emperor (died prematurely), her physical and mental strength plummeted, and then she was plagued by illness. In less than two years, Princess Dong Efei fell in the harem of the Qing Dynasty, and what is even more unexpected is that Shunzhi, who wanted to become a monk and did not succeed, died young due to smallpox, at the age of 24.
The death of the fourth son of the Emperor, Concubine Dong, and Emperor Shunzhi caused the Qing Imperial Palace to undergo a major reshuffle, and in the end, the third son of the Emperor Xuan Ye succeeded to the throne of the Qing Dynasty as the Kangxi Emperor. After Shunzhi's death, the Manchu Qing imperial family transferred the resentment of the emperor's early death to the Dong E family, and in their view, if it were not for the appearance and existence of Dong Efei, the Emperor of the Qing Dynasty would not have died young.
At this time, Princess Zhen bravely stood up, and she proposed to be martyred for Shunzhi, with her body, in order to dispel the resentment of the Ai Xin Jue Luo family against the Dong E family. On the seventh day of the first month of the eighteenth year of Shunzhi, that is, the day of Shunzhi's untimely death, Concubine Zhen bravely took a step to end her life, she was martyred for the Emperor of the Qing Dynasty, this act was not unexpectedly affirmed by the Manchu Qing Imperial Family, in exchange for the title of an Imperial Concubine, chastity is chastity, loyalty, which is the highest praise for a woman.
After the death of Concubine Zhen, the Manchu Qing imperial family temporarily buried her in Huanghua Mountain, and in the fifty-seventh year of the Kangxi Dynasty, the Shunzhi Xiaodong Mausoleum was completed, and the Concubine Zhen, who had been dead for more than half a century, was buried in the imperial mausoleum. The subsequent Kangxi Dynasty abolished the rules for the burial of living people, and Concubine Zhen became the last concubine to be buried for the emperor.
