The four nephews married Shunzhi, and only she lived less than ten years old and was buried in the Empress Mausoleum after her death

The situation of aunts and nephews serving each other has appeared many times in the history of the Qing Dynasty, such as Empress Xiaoduanwen, Concubine Chen and Concubine Zhuang of the Emperor Taiji Harem, such as Empress Xiaozheyi and Emperor Gongsu of the Tongzhi Harem. Today, I want to talk about the four aunts and nephews of the Shunzhi harem, they are the shunzhi deposed queen, the mourning concubine, the empress xiaohuizhang and the shuhui concubine, and we focus on the second one: the mourning concubine who has lived less than ten years old.

In the early years of the Qing Dynasty, the Mongol tribes and the Aixin Jueluo family frequently married, of which the Horqin tribe was the most serious, and the famous Empress Xiaozhuang was from this tribe. As early as the time of Shunzhi's succession, the regent Dolgun made a family affair for the young emperor, the woman was from the Horqin tribe, surnamed Borjigit, was the daughter of Empress Xiaozhuang's eldest brother Wu Keshan, that is, the cousin of the Shunzhi Emperor.

This Borjigit married Jingshi in the year of Shunzhi's pro-government, but unexpectedly did not match Shunzhi's personality, and was deposed only two years later, becoming the only empress in the history of the Qing Dynasty to be deposed.

After the abolition of the Borjigit clan, Empress Xiaozhuang selected two princesses from her mother's family for her son, these two princesses also surnamed Borjigit, they were the granddaughters of Empress Xiaozhuang's second brother Chahan, that is, the cousins of the Shunzhi Emperor, these two were sent to the Forbidden City in the eleventh year of Shunzhi, one was made empress, that is, the later Empress Xiaohuizhang, and the other was made a concubine, that is, Shuhuifei.

Shortly after Empress Xiaohuizhang and Concubine Shuhui married Shunzhi, the Horqin Ministry unexpectedly sent a young daughter, who was less than ten years old, not yet the age of the attendant and canonization, and could only be temporarily raised in the palace, which was called "waiting in the palace" at that time, which was somewhat similar to the folk child brides. This young daughter is the mourning concubine we mentioned above, she is the daughter of Empress Xiaozhuang's fourth brother Manzhu Xili, and the cousin of the Shunzhi Emperor.

However, at that time, Shunzhi's favorite was Concubine Dong, and she had no interest in these Mongol concubines at all, so whether it was Empress Xiaohui, Concubine Shuhui, or Concubine Mourning with buds waiting to be released, they all became flowers raised in the deep palace. This situation was still better for Empress Xiaohui and Concubine Shuhui, after all, they were a little older, but this was a little cruel for Concubine Mo.

However, the heavens seemed to be deliberately teasing this young girl, and on the fifth day of March in the fifteenth year of Shunzhi, the news of the death of Concubine Xue came out of the palace, and this woman who was not yet ten years old and had not yet had time to enjoy a good life actually withered away like this, which really made people feel sorry for it! Subsequently, the Shunzhi Emperor decreed that his cousin, who had unfortunately died prematurely, be posthumously named a mourning concubine and temporarily placed her in the mourning concubine mausoleum under the Huanghua Mountain.

In the fifty-seventh year of the Kangxi Dynasty, the Shunzhi Xiaodong Mausoleum was completed, and the mourning concubines were relocated to the mausoleum, in addition to the mourning concubines, the cemetery also buried the second empress of Shunzhi, Empress Xiaohuizhang, the cousin of the mourning concubines, and 28 other concubines of Shunzhi.
