On March 12, 2011, a movie called "Shocking Sand" was released in China, which took qin Jiwei, the founding lieutenant general, as the main line, and presented everyone with the picture of the Red Army's Western Route Army struggling to break through in Linze.
The screenwriter of this film is Qin Jiwei's son Qin Tian, who also won the Second China Film Association Cup Excellent Script Award.
In fact, with Qin Jiwei's battle achievements, any clip can be made into a movie to show everyone his glorious image. But Qin Tian deliberately chose this battle, and there was also a reason.
The tiger father had no dogs, and Qin Tian was also ordered to participate in the counterattack against Vietnam and served as the regimental commander in the Lao Shan battlefield, which was fought beautifully. And before going to the front, there was also such an anecdote:
When Qin Tian said goodbye to his father Qin Jiwei, he said with tears:
"Dad, I may not be able to fulfill my filial piety."
Qin Jiwei immediately interrupted his son's words and scolded him:
"What is this little battle?"
In fact, I don't blame Qin Jiwei for his fierce heart, with his life's experience, many wars are "small battles" in his eyes.

Qin Jiwei
He joined the revolution at the age of 13
On November 16, 1914, Qin Luozhuang in Qiliping District, Huang'an County, Hubei Province, ushered in a new life, qin Hui looked at his son who was crying and had high hopes for him, so he named him "Jiwei".
Although the Qin family was not rich, and a large family lived on a few acres of thin land, because Qin Jiwei was young, his parents and brothers and sisters spoiled him, and he was rarely wronged. In this way, Qin Jiwei spent his childhood happily.
Seeing him grow up day by day, in order to make him able to read and write, to be a person who can distinguish between right and wrong, the family saved a few silver dollars from between his teeth and sent the 8-year-old to the primary school in the next village. Qin Jiwei has been free and accustomed since childhood, can't sit still in class, often skips school, and goes to the river to catch fish and shrimp.
When his parents saw him like this, they were also afraid that he would cause trouble outside, and they let him drop out of school and go home before he had even finished a year's study. If you don't study, you have to help your family work, and although Qin Jiwei is reluctant to work hard in his studies, he learns everything quickly when he is serious. He worked with his uncle in the field for a while, and the cultivation of seedlings was very good, which was deeply liked by the adults.
Originally, I thought that life would go on so plainly, who knew that the heavens had descended on the disaster, and suddenly broke Qin Jiwei's happy life. The Huang'an famine spread and the plague spread, and in just three years, his mother, father, uncle, and brother were infected with the plague and unfortunately died. The sister-in-law remarried someone else, and even the only sister had to marry far away, and for a time the 11-year-old Qin Jiwei was alone and helpless.
Qin Jiwei did not bow to fate, but stood up strongly, looking for the meaning of his existence.
Huang'an County, Hubei Province, was originally one of the cradles of the revolution, and the revolutionary movement was frequent, and Qin Jiwei decided to embark on the revolutionary road after coming into contact with revolutionary ideas. He actively participated in various activities in the village, and because of his good performance, he was soon accepted as an exception and became a member of the self-defense team.
In the autumn of 1927, the jute uprising broke out, and the 13-year-old Qin Jiwei did not have a gun and took up the shuttle to participate in it. In 1928, he joined the Red Guards, but he always felt that something was almost there.
In August 1929, Qin Jiwei took several other Red Guards to the Soviet government in the township to apply for a letter of introduction, but at first the staff was reluctant to give them because the Red Guards were too young to withstand their soft and hard bubbles, and finally opened a letter of introduction.
Qin Jiwei took the letter of introduction, and his partners rushed all the way to Dabie Mountain, and finally found the Thirty-first Division of the Eleventh Army of the Workers' and Peasants' Red Army and became a Red Army.
After joining the army, Qin Jiwei saw the efforts of others in the army, so he never relaxed his standards because he was young, but redoubled his efforts to learn military skills and training. Coupled with his quick mind, careful and bold, he performed well in battle many times, and the leaders gradually noticed him.
With his own efforts, Qin Jiwei, in more than 70 years of service in the army, from a small soldier, all the way to deputy squad leader, squad leader, platoon leader, etc., and finally became a military commander, all of which he exchanged for solid merit. He had followed the team led by Xu Xiangqian to participate in many "anti-encirclement and suppression" struggles, crossing meadows, climbing snow-capped mountains, and the 25,000-mile Long March, and he never stopped even if he was injured.
In January 1937, facing the siege of 5 regiments of the Majia Army, Qin Jiwei was appointed as the commander-in-chief of the city. And at this time,
The main combat force in the city is only 1 guard company. Faced with such a huge disparity, he did not flinch, but made a detailed deployment of troops, and firmly said at the mobilization meeting:
"I'd rather die in battle than surrender!"
During the battle, Qin Jiwei was wounded twice, but he still held on to the front line. Under his command, the crowd fought with the enemy in the city for three days and three nights, and then abandoned the city and broke through according to the instructions of the headquarters.
Qin Jiwei commanded well, and the warriors fought tenaciously, and finally achieved this classic battle of defending the city. Later, this battle was made into the movie "Shocking Sand", which was well received by the public.
During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Qin Jiwei single-handedly formed a resistance team of more than 5,000 people in only half a year, flexibly cooperating with the main attack and crushing the siege of the Japanese army. After the Great Counteroffensive of the War of Resistance, he led his men to attack the Pinghan Line, and was invincible all the way.
During the Liberation War, he fought from the north to the south, suppressing the Kuomintang army without the opportunity to counterattack, and every battle was fought very beautifully, which made people clap their hands and applaud.
One of his most famous battles took place during the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, and he became famous with the Battle of Shangganling.
He became famous at the age of 38
After the founding of New China, Qin Jiwei was responsible for guarding the southern gate of the country, and in order for the people to live and establish a career in peace, he vigorously carried out the work of suppressing bandits and opposing hegemony.
In 1950, the Korean War broke out. Soon, the first volunteers, under the leadership of Commander Peng Dehuai, went to Korea to fight, and dealt a heavy blow to the enemy in four battles.
At this time, although Qin Jiwei was suppressing bandits in the southwest region, his eyes and ears were always paying attention to the front line, and he was also happy to hear that the good news was frequent. However, for him who has been galloping on the battlefield for a long time, listening to the good news in the rear is far less painful than going to the front line to fight the devils.
On October 29, the Southwest Bureau of the Communist Party of China held a meeting in Chongqing, and Qin Jiwei was also present. When the meeting mentioned the decision to dispatch troops to Korea, Qin Jiwei immediately had the idea of inviting Miao to participate in the war.
In fact, before that, the organization had already decided to appoint him as the commander of the Southwest Public Security Army, and Qin Jiwei also knew this news. But in his opinion, soldiers should go to the battlefield, how can the country have a war, but they themselves enjoy peace in the rear?
So he took the initiative to ask for help at the meeting, and gave two reasons to convince everyone:
First, the morale of the soldiers of the Fifteenth Army is high, and they are most suitable for going to battle; second, the Fifteenth Army has been flexible in suppressing bandits in the border areas, has no other tasks, and is highly mobile.
At the meeting, the matter was not decided, and after the meeting, Qin Jiwei asked others to help him speak, and finally Deng Xiaoping made a decision to allow the Fifteenth Army to enter the Korean War.
Qin Jiwei and Deng Xiaoping
In order to better resist the enemy, while waiting for the entry into the DPRK, Qin Jiwei took more than a dozen of his cadres to Nanjing to participate in the training of the military academy. In November, the Fifteenth Army received orders to go north, and they traveled day and night, and two months later reached Xingtai, Hebei, to meet Qin Jiwei and others.
On February 17 of the following year, the 15th Army was officially organized into the 15th Army of the Chinese Volunteer Army, and the commander was still Qin Jiwei. In March, the 15th Army crossed the Yalu River and went to the designated area to participate in the Fifth Campaign.
During the rush, the American planes flew arrogantly at low altitudes, and once they found our troops, they began to drop bombs, and in order to reduce casualties, the soldiers had to scatter and hide when they saw the planes, and then gather after the planes left. But this is very time-consuming, and the war ahead is tight, and it is impossible to delay every minute and second.
Qin Jiwei's mind turned and he came up with a bold method:
Hit the plane.
This was not the first time for the Fifteenth Army that when Luoyang was liberated, they had shot down one of Chiang Kai-shek's fighter jets with rifles. Under Qin Jiwei's analysis, everyone felt that the US planes were not so terrible, and when they encountered them again, they raised their guns and hit them. After the US military suffered several losses, it no longer dared to fly low.
Without this interference, the XV Corps advanced rapidly, soon reached the designated area, attacked all over the line under the orders of the Volunteer Army Command, and fought a bloody battle at Shibaura for ten days and nights. Although the fight was very hard, the task was finally completed. Even Peng Dehuai was very excited to send a telegram to Qin Jiwei:
"Qin Jiwei: I thank you very much!"
What really made the Fifteenth Army famous was the Shangganling Campaign in the back, which was no longer a simple contest of military strength, but a contest of wisdom and will.
At 3:00 a.m. on October 14, 1952, the U.S. military suddenly launched the "Golden Offensive", using 300 artillery, 40 aircraft and 120 tanks to attack 597.0 and 537.7.
Suddenly, Shangganling fell into a field of artillery fire.
It has been calculated that an average of 6 shells per second landed in our positions. The artillery fire continued, blowing up the night like day. The enemy also took cover of fire and began to attack us, and after seven days and seven nights of fierce fighting, the battle line pulled back and forth in front of the high ground.
Qin Jiwei had not slept for a minute in these seven days, and he was constantly studying the enemy situation.
Because our side has invested fewer troops than the enemy, the corresponding casualties will be greater, but under the hard work of our soldiers, the enemy's casualties are also very heavy.
Seven days later, the enemy occupied the surface position of Shangganling, and our army switched to tunnel warfare.
The enemy laid heavy troops outside, blocked the tunnels, and tried to cut off our army's supplies, while at the same time smoking and burning, shells bombarded. The soldiers were getting smaller and smaller in the tunnels, and with no water, everyone was fighting the enemy by their minds. Because the enemy blockade was too strict, the transporters died in the middle of the road with supplies, and the road to Shangganling was full of blood-soaked items.
There was no progress in the Battle of Shangganling, the battles on other battlefields in Korea were over, and the eyes of both sides were fixed on Shangganling, and everyone knew that whoever had the upper hand here was tough at the negotiating table. Zhiji kept calling Qin Jiwei to inquire about the situation, and Qin Jiwei said firmly:
"Please rest assured that as long as there is still one person in the 15th Army, the Battle of Shangganling will continue!"
The U.S. army thought that it would win by occupying the surface position, who knew that the volunteer army persevered with extraordinary willpower, so that the U.S. army sat on the crater of the volcano, and from time to time it had to face an attack. The enemy therefore began to shirk responsibility and blame each other, but did not know that our army was preparing for a major counterattack.
At 22:00 on the evening of October 30, the 15th Army extended its firepower, lured the enemy deeper, and caught the enemy by surprise with another horse gun, and after a fierce battle, all 5 highlands were retaken by us, breaking the myth of the invincibility of the US army.
Under the leadership of Qin Jiwei, the 15th Army broke through the cauldron and sank, fought a bloody battle for 43 days, and became famous in the First World War!
Iron bones, inches and inches of soft intestines
In peacetime, Qin Jiwei successively served as deputy commander of the Yunnan Military Region, commander of the Kunming Military Region, and commander of the Chengdu Military Region, but no matter what post he was in, he maintained that vigor, continued to study, and threw himself wholeheartedly into his work, making contributions to the development of the party, the country, and the army.
He was strict with himself and taught his children by example.
Although his children have always grown up with Qin Jiwei, he has never specifically told his children about his experience in the Long March and the Red Army, but has used his own words and deeds to influence them bit by bit.
And his children did not live up to their father's expectations and felt the invisible power from him.
Qin Jiwei never let them engage in special, and his second son Qin Tian was the best proof. Although his father was famous, Qin Tian still started from the most basic level of soldiers, became a squad leader with his own efforts, and then slowly rose to platoon leader, regiment commander, deputy division commander and so on.
Recalling his father's influence on himself, there was one thing that Qin Tian would never forget. In 1986, Qin Tian's unit was ordered to the Laoshan front. This was his first time in the battle, and before he set out, he talked to his father and told his "last words" when he expressed his attitude to him:
"On the front lines, I will never embarrass you and your mother." If there is an accident, I can't do filial piety to you. ”
After saying that, he thought that his father would comfort him and tell him not to think so pessimistically, who knew that Qin Jiwei was angry:
"As a soldier, you first think of victory. I have fought wars for more than ten years, how many vicious battles and hard battles I have experienced, what are you doing in this battle! ”
At that time, Qin Tian listened to these words and did not quite understand his father's intentions. Only later did he realize that his father only hoped that his confidence would not be affected by the parting of sorrow, so he encouraged him with military spirit.
With his father's encouragement, Qin Tian did not show a hint of panic after arriving at the front line, but calmly analyzed the current situation, strictly required his subordinates to train, and controlled the error within a few seconds during the exercise. Thanks to this, their regiment performed well when it went to war.
Although Qin Tian was the regimental commander, he did not command in the rear, but chose to fight with his comrades-in-arms, which greatly increased the morale of his side. In this battle, Qin Tian completed the task many times, and also made two second-class merits and three-class merits.
In Qin Tian's eyes, his father was both a strict teacher and a loving father. In his daily life, he can often feel his father's love for him. Therefore, on his father's eightieth birthday, Qin Tian wrote down "ZhengZheng iron bone, inch soft intestine" to send to his father. In his opinion, when his father faced the enemy on the battlefield, he had always been a strong iron bone, never afraid or yielding. However, when facing comrades-in-arms and relatives, it is a soft intestine.
Qin Jiwei's life is like what he himself wrote in his memoirs:
"I have lived to work and died, and the original intention of the revolution to the end has never changed; I am not willing to be left behind, and my positive and enterprising spirit has never changed!"
His life was magnificent, he was a true "general of hundred battles", and in front of him, many battles could only be called small battles. And his influence on his children is far more profound than he realizes, and his spiritual realm and personality style are not only the examples of his children, but also the learning examples of contemporary people!
