Everyone usually sees the sunny and handsome side of the ice hockey boys, and they have never had the opportunity to understand how their parents have accompanied them over the years of practicing ice hockey. In the course of interviewing these four families, we can see some of the ways the hockey boys grew up.
If the child enters the club from the age of six or seven, he will play the league with the team, which will also increase the amount of training and increase the training time. From this point on, there is hardly much time for parents to have their own: they send their children to school at six or seven o'clock every morning, pick up their children from school at three or four o'clock in the afternoon to practice at the ice rink, wait until eight or nine o'clock in the evening when the children go home together after the hockey lesson, and when they get home, they also supervise the children's homework, arrange for the children to wash and rest, and prepare breakfast for the next day. The parents' day passed like this.
In the four families, Xiaolong's mother accompanied her son to study and train throughout the day, but every weekend the competition Dad will definitely participate; Si Xiang's mother rushed to the ice rink every day after work because of her son's words, and no matter how hard it was, she also wanted the family to be together and grow up with the child; Mickey's parents divided labor and cooperation, the father managed the pick-up, and the mother managed the logistics support; Tong Tong because he was a residential student, the school was far from the city, and when the parents were busy, they also had to trouble the uncle and the aunt to take him over.
Children have gained health and friendship on the road to playing ice hockey, and they are more disciplined and confident than children of the same age! Because playing in a team and practicing together almost every day, parents have become friends who see each other every day. In this way, they encouraged each other for 6 or 7 years, and thus formed a deep friendship. Whoever has something to do, everyone helps take care of the child, don't worry about the child no one cares.
In such a tight schedule, I subjectively thought that children might not have time to develop other hobbies. However, I was wrong! Parents told me that during the only one day off each week, they would take their children to other interest classes. I asked the children if they felt that this life was hard and tiring, and their answer was almost the same meaning: I like to play hockey, and it is fun to live like this every day! The same question is asked to parents, parents express the same idea: such a life is more difficult, but the child likes, it is helpful to the child's growth, so we are willing to be tired!
On the road of cultivating children's good hobbies, it is indispensable to the companionship and dedication of parents. It is a test of parents' financial resources, energy, and time. But only after persevering, there will be gains. As Mickey's mother said, "Now develop more skills, interests, and hobbies for your children."
