Forcing children to kneel in the subway? A rough "family law" is against state law

On January 12, on Line 7 of the Beijing subway, a mother committed domestic violence against her child, causing passengers around her to look sideways. According to the Beijing Evening News, she first pinched the child's face fiercely, causing the mask to be pulled off the child's ear; the child wore the mask, and the woman knocked off the child's hat, and this time the child did not dare to wear the hat; the woman hit the child again, and the child subconsciously reached out to block it; then, the woman threw the child's school bag to the ground, let the child kneel, and knelt nearly one stop. A passenger came forward to dissuade her, and the woman replied, "I said my child, I want to do whatever I want." ”

Forcing children to kneel in the subway? A rough "family law" is against state law

Many netizens felt sad and distressed to see the seven- or eight-year-old child blocking with his hands and kneeling on the ground; they felt angry and incomprehensible at the series of violent disciplines that the parent was both hands-on and punishment for kneeling. Not only did he punch him in the face; he not only scolded the children, but also punished them in public. Disregarding the dignity of the child and ignoring the double harm to the child's body and mind may be a momentary act of indignation, but it also exposes that the mother is not only unable to educate, but also unable to do so.

Children are their own, but how to discipline is not their own business, not "what you want your child to do, what your child has to do." Although there is a tradition for parents to beat their children, many parents are also out of hatred for their children, but educating children does not mean that they can beat and scold their children, let alone take an insulting way in public. Forcing children to kneel in subway cars, fiercely stepping on children's sense of security and self-esteem, not only can not achieve the purpose of education, but may cast a shadow in children's hearts, which is not conducive to healthy growth in the future. The child is naughty and greedy, the violation is out of line, the parents should indeed be corrected in time, but the discipline must use the correct way to open, the punishment should also be within a reasonable range, how can you wait for the family law at every turn? Even if there is no blood relation, it should not be so cruel to a young child. What's more, times have advanced, laws have been updated, and the use of violence is not only scorned by most parents, but also violates national law. Article 5 of the Law on the Promotion of Family Education, which was just implemented this year, clearly stipulates that family education should respect the personal dignity of minors and protect the legitimate rights and interests of minors. Obviously, this mother has not kept up with the pace of the era of "bringing a baby according to law".

Forcing children to kneel in the subway shows that the old educational concept is still kneeling on the ground, and the common sense of the law has not yet stood up. I hope that this dazzling scene will not only touch the heartstrings of other parents, but also warn more parents to take this as a warning when punishing their children.
