There is a virus! This SMS link never clicks

Recently, the Provincial Medical Insurance Bureau and the Shenyang police have issued emergency warnings one after another: at present, some people have received reports that some criminals have pushed fraudulent text messages to the insured people in Liaoning Province, containing false links (actually Trojan virus links), inducing the parties to click on the link. After clicking on the link, the jumped page is very similar to the official page. If you fill in the information such as ID card number, bank card number, bank card password, reserved mobile phone number, verification code and other information according to the prompts on the page, it will lead to the theft of the victim's mobile phone and bank card information, and the bank card will be damaged by theft.

Police disclosure: Someone was deceived because of medical insurance text messages

On January 7, Mr. He, a citizen of Shenyang, reported to the police that he had received a text message starting with "008210-99" with the text message: "[Liaozhengtong] The medical insurance under your name has been deactivated, please go to the k.n34x.pw apply for the electronic version." ”

Mr. He was confused by the three words of [Liao Zhengtong], mistakenly thought that it was really sent by the App, he credulously believed this information, and as a result, he entered the phishing website set up by the fraudsters, and entered the personal information as required and then carried out the so-called "verification" as required - fill in the bank card password, and then found that the money in the bank card was used by scammers for online consumption.

It is understood that there are also scammers posing as social security centers to send fraudulent text messages containing links to victims on the grounds of "handling new versions of electronic social security cards, social security accounts have not uploaded electronic audits, and social security card business is frozen", asking victims to handle "within a time limit", otherwise "outdated accounts will be cancelled" and "overdue will be deactivated social security". Once the victim clicks on the link in the scam SMS and fills in the personally identifiable information and bank card fund account number, password or verification code according to the interface requirements, the funds in the account will be transferred by the scammer.

Police details: medical insurance card SMS fraud routine

The police remind that in such fraud, the criminals first pretend to be the staff of the medical insurance institution to call the insured, using the insured's medical insurance card and social security card account abnormality as an excuse, claiming that the account may be fraudulently used by others, suspected of malicious money laundering, drug production and drug trafficking and other criminal acts. Once the insured believes the words of the criminals, the criminals will ask the victim to provide personal information related content such as ID card number, bank card number, medical insurance card number, etc. on the grounds of cooperating with the investigation, and further lure the victim to the bank to use the automatic deposit and withdrawal machine to transfer money, thereby committing fraud.

According to reports, the medical insurance department will not directly contact the public by telephone to request personal information. If there are new policies and businesses that need to be informed to the public, they will be informed through the official media or by posting announcements in the business management hall of the medical insurance department, and do not trust the content of telephone calls or text messages.

In addition, when receiving abnormal calls or text messages from medical insurance card accounts, you must remain calm, do not disclose your personal account information and identity information at will, and do not click or call unknown links and phones in text messages. You can call the 12333 official service telephone number first, or you can swipe the card at the nearest designated medical institution to try to verify whether the medical insurance card can be used normally.

Don't tell anyone about your bank account, password, SMS verification code, or do anything like send money transfers. Be vigilant, do not be gullible after receiving similar calls, protect personal privacy and property security, and beware of being deceived.

If you are unfortunate enough to be deceived, you should call the police on 110 in time.
