Recently, Skoda officially released the exterior design sketch of its new pure electric model, the new car is called ENYAQ COUPE iV, which is a coupe model derived from ENYAQ iV. The car is scheduled to be officially released on January 31, 2022. It is reported that the new car is based on the Volkswagen Group MEB platform, which can be regarded as a sister model produced by Volkswagen ID.5 on the same platform.
From the design sketch, we can see that the ENYAQ COUPE iV is the same as the normal version, using Skoda's new family design language. The front face will also be equipped with a luminous grille, while the tail of the back will resemble the Tesla Model Y. At the same time, the new ENYAQ Coupé iV thanks to its sneaky shape, the new car has a wind resistance coefficient of only 0.234cd, which is lower than the conventional version. This means that the new car has better aerodynamic performance, and the range and performance will also be improved.
In terms of power, the new car will launch three models with different powers. The entry-level version is named iV 60, the medium version is named iV 80, and the top version is named iV 80X. The maximum power of the motors on the three models is 132kW, 150kW and 195kW, of which the 80X model has a peak torque of 425N·m, and is equipped with a four-wheel drive system, zero hundred acceleration takes only 7 seconds, and the maximum pure electric cruising range is 535km. In the future, Skoda will also introduce a high-performance version of the car, the iV 80 VRS, using a dual-motor four-wheel drive system, and the maximum power will be increased to 225 kW.
