Fan Quansen, the lord of the Water Mountain Pavilion and a native of Jingchuan, Gansu, graduated from the Department of Chinese of Northwest Normal University and taught Chinese painting at the Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts. He is currently a researcher of the China Academy of Calligraphy and Painting, a member of the China International Writers association, and a member of the Gansu Provincial Artists Association.
Fan Quansen has loved the art of calligraphy and painting since childhood, under the guidance of famous teachers, after decades of intensive research, he has gradually mastered the basic techniques of Chinese painting and formed a unique landscape painting style. His works are not only the presentation of a unique artistic style that is different from the ancients and different from today's people, but also an artistic portrait carefully tempered in the painting language based on traditional nutrition.
The works have a wide range of themes, profound intentions, and in addition to the function of conveying the appearance of the gods, the pen and ink language carries a heavy humanistic connotation and the atmosphere of the times, while most of the works fully reveal the supreme realm of "the unity of heaven and man" with the help of natural objects, highlighting the aesthetic thought and spiritual world of "things and me forgetting" - the integration of heart and things, with extremely distinct regional characteristics and life atmosphere.
"Soul of the Plateau" won the second prize of the "Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition of the CPPCC Friendship Association of Shaanxi, Gansu and Ningxia Provinces";

"Sunset Molten Gold" was selected for the "Taishan Zun" National Painting Exhibition of the China Artists Association.
His works of Chinese painting have been published in fine arts newspapers, chinese painters, times art, contemporary Chinese art and pictorial magazines. Lanzhou Television, Tianshui Television, Tianshui Daily, and Pingliang Daily have also made special reports.
He has held many exhibitions in Beijing, Tianjin, Shandong, Anhui, Lanzhou and other places.
