This afternoon, Hisense released China's first fully self-developed 8K AI picture quality chip, which is the fifth generation of Hisense picture quality chip, but also the highest integration degree and the most feature-rich generation chip since Hisense developed the chip, the core technology is all independently developed, known as the ceiling of the quality chip processing capacity, the internal integration of two CPU, NPU computing power 1.2TFLOPS.

According to Hisense's information, this chip model is HV8107, which has been mass-produced and used on the MiniLED TV 85U9H released by Hisense at the CES 2022 exhibition, and the chip will be used for flat-screen TVs, film and television-grade monitors, laser TVs, medical display equipment, etc. in the future.

In addition to supporting up to 8K resolution image quality, this AI quality chip also adds AI image quality processing capabilities.

The chip supports accurate reconstruction of 33 million megapixels to smoothly and gradually raise the picture to 16 bits, showing more detail in the picture, and compensates for high-precision motion estimation through AI object detection.

In terms of color control, by supporting 48-bit color depth and 7897 color point control, accurate color improvement is realized, and AI detection for faces can achieve skin color improvement.

In terms of partition control, this chip has achieved support for 26880 partition control, stronger contrast screen darker layer, and can also be adapted to ultra-multi-partition MiniLED products in the future.
