The 500 hours of game time in the promotion correspond to 100% completion, requiring players to "maximize" the completion of the game. This "maximization" refers not only to completing all tasks, but also to "achieving all endings" and "exploring every part of the world", which may also cover the process of obtaining full achievements and collecting all elements.
Most players who just do main and side quests will complete the game faster, taking about 70-80 hours, and the official promise is that the game experience is equally solid.

According to the website, most open-world games will control the time to complete main and side quests within 100 hours. Two unique exceptions are The Elder Scrolls V and The Witcher 3, which are 116 hours and 126 hours, respectively. In this way, the 70-80 hours of missions arranged by "Gone With the Light 2" is reasonable.
However, it takes less than 200 hours for The Witcher 3 to complete 100% of Breath of the Wild, and even The Elder Scrolls V only takes about 211 hours. In contrast, the "500 hours" listed in Vanishing Light 2 is indeed a terrible astronomical number.

Techland has been rolling out follow-up free and paid DLC updates for the first generation of Lost Light, and is still updating various in-game community activities, encouraging players to collect limited weapons and props, and the accumulated game content can theoretically last hundreds of hours.
