Techland has revealed what players can expect from dying Light 2's upcoming new story, the DLC.
In an interview with WCCFTECH, Tymon Smekta A, lead designer of Gone With The Light 2, confirmed that the DLC story was "parallel to the main story."
"It can start as soon as Aiden arrives in the city, and we don't actually want players to complete the game progression before they can enjoy the game," Smekta a said, "I flipped through some of the speculations expressed in the gaming community, but most of them didn't really touch the true face of DLC." So I hope that we can bring positive surprises to players through this DLC, which is very worth looking forward to. "
Asked if the DLC was associated with the "holistic branch narrative," Smekta a said, "Its story revolves around a specific place outside the confines of the city of Villedo." But of course, there will be some options to do! "
He also confirmed that Techland will "launch some of the content updates this year and next year that will focus on various types of online experiences."
"We felt that there was a lot that could be done with the multiplayer content of Gone Wither of Light 2, from adding more co-op mechanics to a lot of different, fun game modes," he said.
Earlier this week, the Fading Light 2 update added a new game bonus mode, as well as new post-final gameplay content.
Techland recently revealed that Gone with the Wind has sold 5 million copies in its first month since its launch in early February, not counting the sale of the Switch version scheduled for later this year. This is a solid start to the game.
