Read 12G/s Write 11G/s PCIe5.0 Solid State adds a new army

With the launch of the Z690, the solid state of PCIe 5.0 has also begun to be enriched. Recently, Qunlian Electronics announced a new generation of PCIe 5.0 SSD master control program PS5026-E26, for enthusiast-level game platforms and enterprise-level platforms.

Today, MSI unveiled its first PCIe 5.0 SSD based on the Group E26 master control scheme, named "Spatium E26", which is available in two forms, PCIe and M.2, at least the former covering copper fin heat sinks.

At present, there is not much specification information revealed, only that it supports PCIe 5.0 x4, one-way bandwidth of 16GB/s, and supports NVMe 4.0 protocol, and the read and write speed is unknown.

It is worth mentioning that the MSI Spatium E26 is available in both desktop and enterprise versions, and the two appear to be the same PCB, which adds an additional set of capacitors to support power-down protection.

According to Qunlian, the E26 is upgraded to a 12nm process, dual-core Cortex-R5 CPU, based on the exclusive CoX Processor 2.0 architecture, and supports PCIe Dual Port, SR-IOV, ZNS and other functions.

In terms of performance, sequential reads and writes can reach up to 12GB/s and 11GB/s, and random reads and writes can reach up to 1.5 million IOPS and 2 million IOPS respectively, the former is slightly conservative (Wei Gang/Samsung/Armored Man have rushed to 14GB/s), but the latter belongs to the super first-class level.
