On January 9, 15 new local confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia in Shaanxi were all in Xi'an City

According to the website of the Shaanxi Provincial Health Commission, at 0-24:00 on January 9, there were 15 new local confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia (all in Xi'an), of which 9 cases were found in isolation and control, 3 cases were found in the screening area of the control area, 1 case was found in the screening of the sealing and control area, and 2 cases were found in the screening of key groups; 88 cases were cured and discharged from the hospital.

Since December 9, 2021, Shaanxi Province has reported a cumulative total of 2,031 locally confirmed cases (2,004 cases in Xi'an City, 13 cases in Xianyang City, 13 cases in Yan'an City, and 1 case in Weinan City), of which 356 cases were discharged from hospital and 1,675 cases were hospitalized.

At 0-24:00 on January 9, no new reports of confirmed cases, suspected cases, and asymptomatic infected persons imported from abroad were reported.

He was isolated on 6 January, tested positive for nucleic acid on 9 January, and was diagnosed as a confirmed case of COVID-19 (mild) by a municipal expert group.

The local confirmed case 3, female, 9 years old, currently residing in Yanta District, Xi'an City, is a close contact of the local confirmed case 54 released on 2 January. He was isolated on 2 January, tested positive for nucleic acid on 9 January, and was diagnosed as a confirmed case of COVID-19 (mild) by a municipal expert group.

The local confirmed case 4, female, 67 years old, currently residing in Yanta District, Xi'an City, is a close contact of the local confirmed case 3 released on 9 January. He was isolated on January 8, tested positive for nucleic acid on January 9, and was diagnosed as a confirmed case of COVID-19 (mild) by a municipal expert group.

The local confirmed case is 5, male, 31 years old, currently residing in Yanta District, Xi'an City. There were confirmed cases in the living area, they were isolated on January 5, and on January 9, they tested positive for nucleic acid and were diagnosed as confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia (mild) by a municipal expert group.

The local confirmed case is 7, female, 30 years old, currently residing in Chang'an District, Xi'an. There were confirmed cases in the work area, they were isolated on December 14, and on January 9, they tested positive for nucleic acid and were diagnosed as confirmed cases of new crown pneumonia (ordinary type) by the municipal expert group.

The local confirmed case is 8, male, 63 years old, currently residing in Xi'an High-tech Zone. The local confirmed case 15, male, 48 years old, currently residing in Xi'an High-tech Zone, is a close contact of the local confirmed case 22 released on January 7. He was isolated on 6 January, tested positive for nucleic acid on 9 January, and was diagnosed as a confirmed case of COVID-19 (mild) by a municipal expert group.

The above local confirmed cases are isolated and treated in designated medical institutions, and the specific activity trajectory is released by Xi'an City.

As of 24:00 on January 9, a total of 2,294 locally confirmed cases (1,675 cases in hospital, 616 cases discharged from hospital, and 3 deaths) were reported.

As of 24:00 on January 9, a total of 483 confirmed cases imported from abroad were reported, of which 468 were discharged from the hospital and 15 were hospitalized. A total of 448 cases of asymptomatic infection imported from abroad have been reported, 59 cases have been converted into confirmed cases, 382 cases have been released from medical observation, and 7 asymptomatic infected people are still under medical observation.
