On January 5, 63 new local confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia in Shaanxi were all in Xi'an City

According to the website of the Shaanxi Provincial Health Commission on January 6, at 0-24:00 on January 5, there were 63 new local confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia (all in Xi'an), of which 57 cases were found in isolation and control, 3 cases were found in screening in the sealing and control area, 2 cases were found in the screening area of the control area, 1 case was found in the screening of key populations, and 39 cases were cured and discharged from the hospital. Since December 9, 2021, the province has reported a total of 1,883 locally confirmed cases (1,856 in Xi'an, 13 in Xianyang, 13 in Yan'an, and 1 in Weinan), of which 77 were discharged from the hospital (1 case was reduced) and 1,806 were in hospital.

At 0-24:00 on January 5, 1 case of asymptomatic infected person imported from abroad was released from isolation.

He was isolated on 30 December, tested positive for nucleic acid on 4 January, and was diagnosed as a confirmed case of COVID-19 (mild) by a municipal expert group on 5 January.

The local confirmed case 4, female, 15 years old, currently residing in Yanta District, Xi'an City, is a close contact of the local confirmed case 70 released on December 30. He was isolated on 30 December, tested positive for nucleic acid on 4 January, and was diagnosed as a confirmed case of COVID-19 (mild) by a municipal expert group on 5 January.

The local confirmed case 5, female, 32 years old, currently residing in Xi'an High-tech Zone, is a close contact of the local confirmed case 9 released on 30 December. He was isolated on 30 December, tested positive for nucleic acid on 4 January, and was diagnosed as a confirmed case of COVID-19 (mild) by a municipal expert group on 5 January.

The local confirmed case is 6, female, 34 years old, currently residing in Xi'an High-tech Zone. There were confirmed cases in the living area, isolated on 3 January, positive nucleic acid test results on 4 January, and confirmed cases of COVID-19 (mild) by a municipal expert group on 5 January.

The locally confirmed case is 7, female, 12 years old, currently residing in Yanta District, Xi'an City. As of 24:00 on January 5, a total of 2,146 locally confirmed cases (1,807 cases in hospital, 336 cases discharged from hospital, and 3 deaths) were reported.
