The most cruel and strange case of the Qing Dynasty: The Emperor Taiji slashed his sister with a thousand knives, why was he so cruel?

The eastern corner of present-day Dananmenli Road in Shenyang was the seat of the royal palace of Nurhaci's third son, Mang Gultai, in the early Qing Dynasty. Here, Mang Guertai once conspired with his younger brother Dege and sister Mang Guji to set up a "Hongmen Feast" to murder Emperor Taiji and seize the throne. However, for some reason, soon after this plan to seize power was determined, Mang Gultai and Derg died violently. After the "Hongmen Feast" incident was exposed, Mang Guji and more than a thousand of his henchmen were executed. This incident became the largest and most cruel strange case in the history of Shencheng and even the Qing Dynasty.

Draw the sword angrily towards the Emperor Taiji

Mang Gultai was nurhaci's concubine, the mother of the Fucha clan, born in the sixteenth year of the Ming Dynasty (1588). As the head of the Blue Flag, the three baylors. His origin and status were originally above that of Emperor Taiji, but only because of his mother's ambiguous relationship with Great Belladeshan, Nurhaci could not bear to kill her, and only suspended her in the name of private property. In order to please his father Khan, Mang Gultai brutally killed his mother. This beastly behavior greatly reduced Mang Gurtai's status and influence in the later Jin Dynasty. So much so that in the eleventh year of the Mandate of Heaven (1626), when no one nominated him for the khan's succession.

When Emperor Taiji succeeded to the throne, although Mang Guertai was dependent on the public opinion and had to vote for him, his heart was not balanced. Over time, the contradiction with the Emperor Taiji deepened. In the end, the "Imperial Front Blade" incident made the contradiction between the two reach a white-hot.

It was the fifth year of Tiancong (1631), and the Ming Dynasty general Zu Dashou restored Dalinghe City. Emperor Taiji was uneasy about the Ming army's advance on Jin and was determined to pull out the "nail". In August of that year, emperor Taiji commanded the Eight Banners to besiege Dalinghe City. The Eight Banners Army besieged the city according to its position, mang gurtai and his brother Dege class led the blue flag to attack the south of the city, because this is the area where the Ming army's artillery fire is most concentrated, the Ming army gave Mang Gurtai a lot of casualties to the pawns, and Mang Gultai saw the situation and ordered a retreat in time. After that, Mang Guertai came to the Imperial Taiji Imperial Tent and asked the Emperor Taiji to transfer back the Sentry Blue Banner Protectors to replenish their military strength and facilitate the re-battle. This was originally a reasonable request, but the Emperor Taiji did not wait for Mang Gultai to finish playing, and then ordered the guard to prepare the horse, saying that there was something important to do.

The most cruel and strange case of the Qing Dynasty: The Emperor Taiji slashed his sister with a thousand knives, why was he so cruel?

Mang Gultai was originally reckless in temperament, and was greatly annoyed to see this. He said loudly: "What prejudice does the emperor have against me, please publicly declare, don't be so embarrassed of me, I have always been obedient to the emperor, but I am still dissatisfied with the emperor with such dedication, is the emperor going to the road of death to force me?"

Mang Gultai said as he put his hand on the hilt of the sword. The Derg class standing next to him saw this situation and rushed forward to give Mang Gultai a punch, reminding him that he should not do "stupid things". Mang Gultai punched him, even more furious, and casually pulled out his knife five inches. Frightened, Derger hurriedly held his hand down and pushed him out of the tent with force. When Emperor Taiji saw this situation, he scolded the guards around him and said, "They have revealed their blades and committed crimes, why don't you quickly draw your swords to block in front of them?" The ancients said: The sword must be cut, and the axe must be cut. Don't you understand the purpose of their blades, how dare you sit still?"

That night, Mang Gurtai, under the persuasion of his younger brother Derg, used the excuse that he had drunk too much alcohol, resulting in a frenzied speech, and came to the Huang Taiji Yellow Tent to accompany the Emperor Taiji, but was rejected by the Emperor Taiji.

Brother and sister conspire to "Hongmen Feast"

The victory at Dalinghe ended, and the Eight Banners Army withdrew from the front line to Shengjing. The Fa Si began to deal with Mang Gultai's "Imperial Front Exposed Blade" incident, and after the trial, he submitted it to the Emperor Taiji for approval, and Mang Gultai was sentenced to remove the name of The Great Belle, seize the population of the Five Bulls, and impose a fine of 10,000 taels of silver.

Mang Guertai did not care about this verdict, but completely offended Huang Taiji and cast a shadow on his own prospects. Therefore, I was very frustrated in my heart, and I often sat alone and cried. The elder sister Mang Guji and the brother-in-law Zonom were very sympathetic to their brother's suffering and came from Kaiyuan to persuade him.

After three rounds of drinking, Mang Guertai used the wine to spit out the thoughts that had been hidden deep in his heart. He said: "I have completely offended the Emperor Taiji now, and I am afraid that I will not have any good fruit to eat in the future, just do not do two things, find an opportunity to get rid of him, and seize the Khan position." If this move fails, we will retreat to Kaiyuan, where Kaiyuan City will be strong and establish ourselves as king. According to Ye Shi's notes, Mang Gultai's plan was to set up a "Hongmen Banquet" at home, feast on the Emperor Taiji, and "kill him" with medicinal liquor. His younger brother Derg, his older sister Mang guji, and his brother-in-law Zonom were shocked to hear of the plan and advised Mang Gultai not to act recklessly. But Mang Gultai said, "If I don't kill him, he will kill me, and I have no way out." Seeing that Mang Gurtai was so determined, the three brothers and sisters finally agreed to Mang Gurtai's plan.

The next day, Mang Guertai invited the two loyal lords of the Zhenglan Banner, Tunbulu, Aibali, and MangGuji's close associate Leng Monk Ji, into the secret chamber. When the three close associates heard the decision to dismiss Mang Gurtai, they all did not hesitate to say that only the master's order was obeyed, and he would not give up the sword mountain and the sea of fire.

The deliberations were decided, and the seven men began to take the Blood Covenant Oath. Mang Gultai swore an oath: "I Mang Gultai have formed a grudge with the emperor, And Er waited to help me, and after the help, such as See Er and so on are not as good as my body." Zonom and Mang Guji swore an oath and said, "I wait for the Yang Emperor to help Yin, and if I don't practice what I say, heaven and earth will learn from it." Several others also made vows. The vows are then burned in front of the Buddha and prepared separately according to the plan.

Zonom thanksgiving informers

Zonok Muben was the Beyler of the Mongol Auror, and was annexed to Houjin in the first year of Tiancong (1637). Emperor Taiji, in order to win over the Ao Han clan, married his widowed sister Princess Mangguji to Zonomu. Subsequently, he gave them Kaiyuan City as a vassal territory and built the Princess Mansion in Kaiyuan City. He also gave them a great deal of cattle and horses, men, gold and silver, and clothing. Therefore, Zonom was grateful to Emperor Taiji.

Because of this, after Zonormu took the oath of the "Hongmen Feast" of the Zhenglan Banner, he always felt some loss and anxiety in his heart. Once, Zonom visited the Emperor Taiji's house, and the Emperor Taiji set up a banquet to warmly serve the guests. Zonom pretended to drink too much, and said to Emperor Taiji, "The emperor should not rely on his brothers, and he should be careful not to be harmed..." As he spoke, Zonom shed tears and said, "The emperor is here, and our Mongolian departments can live comfortably, if the emperor is not there, what can we do in Mongolia?"

Who is Huang Taiji? Of course, I could hear the sound of Zonom's words. Therefore, it is safe to say that Mang Gultai conspired to "Feast at the Hongmen Gate", which was already exposed after the oath of alliance, and this informant was his brother-in-law Zonom.

Shortly after the premeditated "Hongmen Feast", Mang Guertai suddenly "died of a violent illness that could not be said", which shocked everyone and thought it was an "ominous omen". As a result, I did not dare to implement it as planned. Two years later, the Derge suffered the same illness as his brother.

Whether Mang Guertai and his younger brother Dege class died at the hands of Emperor Taiji has no basis, it is not easy to guess, it can only be said that the two died suddenly, which makes people unable to doubt it.

Mang Guji annoyed Emperor Taiji

Mang Guji and Huang Taiji were half-siblings, and Hauge, the son of Huang Taiji, married the daughter born to Zonom's former house, so Mang Guji was both Hauge's aunt and his mother-in-law.

In the ninth year of Tiancong (1635), Emperor Taiji defeated the Mongol co-lord Lin Dan Khan and obtained the Eight Great Blessings of Lin Dan Khan. Emperor Taiji himself married two, and gave the most beautiful Birch Fujin to his son Hauge, and the other five beautiful women also gave to several princes.

Mang Guji was greatly dissatisfied when she heard about this, and she immediately found Huang Taiji and questioned Huang Taiji in front of everyone: "You marry Hauge, what will my daughter do?" Emperor Taiji was kind enough to persuade him, but Mang Guji did not listen at all, kicked open the tent door, got on his horse and ran in the original direction.

The Great Belle Daishan was also in the tent at this time, and when he saw that his sister was angry, he didn't think much about it, and hurriedly chased after him on horseback. After chasing Mang Guji, Dai Shan invited Mang Guji to his tent, set up a banquet, and gave his sister many gifts before leaving.

When Emperor Taiji heard about it, he said, "The relationship between Dai Shan and Mang Guji was not harmonious originally, but when I had a conflict with Mang Guji when I was angry, he invited Mang Guji to his home, and he invited Mang Guji to his home, and he invited him to eat and give gifts, what did he want to do?" He also said, "If you are so rebellious, it is better to elect others as Khans and replace me!"

Emperor Taiji then pulled out of the camp and left, returning to Shengjing first, closing the palace gate for eight consecutive days and ignoring the government.

Mang Guji didn't know where Emperor Taiji's outrage came from, but still said indignantly, "I'm your sister, that is, I said something too much, and as for you to be so angry?"

Cold monk machine drum report

Leng Monk Ji, originally a Yehebu, captured by Nurhaci when he destroyed Yehebu and assigned him to the Zhenglan Banner as a slave. Later, mangguji picked him out as a domestic servant when he remarried to Zonom. Although Leng Monk Ji was born humble, he was cunning and cunning, good at observing words and colors, and was obedient. Over time, she was valued by Mang Guji and became her confidant.

After participating in the secret planning of the "Hongmen Banquet", because of seeing the two Baylors of the Zhenglan Banner "violently dying" one after another, Mang Guji fell out with the Emperor Taiji, and was good at seeing the wind and making the rudder of the cold monk machine, and had a premonition that the situation was not good. I thought that if one day things were exposed and I lost my life, the whole family would also be cursed for it. Thinking about it, Leng Monk Ji decided to strike back.

In December of the ninth year of Tiancong (1635), Leng Monk Ji went to the Punishment Department to beat the Drum of Dengwen and asked to see the Punishment Department Bellezil Harang, saying that there was a major secret accusation.

When Zilharang heard about it, he immediately ascended to the church, and the leng monk Ji exposed the plan of the "Hongmen Feast" that ZhenglanQi Belle had conspired with Princess Mangguji before his death. When Zilharan heard this, he was greatly shocked and immediately took Leng Monk into the palace to meet Emperor Taiji.

Huang Taiji listened to Leng Monk's narration and did not have any surprised expression, but said: "Good! Good! If this case is blue flag Baylor is alive, your accusations will be even greater, but it is not too late to expose it now, nor is it too late. ”

Listening to Emperor Taiji's words, Leng Monk Ji secretly cried out in his heart: "Good suspension, it turns out that the emperor already knows that if I am one step late, maybe it will be too late!"

Mang Guji was slashed with a thousand knives

After the "Hongmen Banquet" case was exposed, the Criminal Investigation Department was ordered to investigate it. Due to the large number of people involved in this case, the investigation personnel of the Criminal Investigation Department alone were not enough to apply, and after request, a large number of personnel and horses were drawn from the two yellow flags and each cattle record to assist in handling the case.

The Ministry of Punishment first sent a team of men and horses to the Kaiyuan Princess Mansion in the starry night to arrest Princess Mang Guji and Erzhu Zonom. Several armoured soldiers were also sent to surround the mansions of Mang gultai, the dergist, and the zhenglan banner lord Tunbulu and Aibali, and all of their families were captured and imprisoned. Due to the large number of prisoners, Shengjingcheng Prison was overcrowded for a while.

The Ministry of Punishment found sixteen wooden plaque seals in the palace of Mang guertai, on which were inscribed: "Seal of the Emperor of the Golden Kingdom", which was identified as important evidence of rebellion. The main perpetrators of the case, Mang Guji and Zou Nuomu, Tun Bulu, and Ai Ba Li also all confessed to it, and were convicted of "plotting danger in the community" and "showing off their deeds against the odds."

Before the execution, Emperor Taiji sent people to Fuling to report the incident to nurhaci, and then to the "Palace of the First Khan" near the Nine Gates to report to the two widows of the First Khan.

As a result, Emperor Taiji executed his sister Ling Chi, the princess of Mangguji, and Mang Guertai's eldest son, Ebilun, and the remaining five sons were deposed as shuren and enslaved to the other princes. Tun Bulu and Ai Bali, as well as all their brothers and nephews, were all delayed. For many days in a row, the screams of the Shengjing Execution Ground continued, and the hearts of the hearers were frightened.

Erzhu Zonom, because he hinted to the Emperor Taiji in advance was tantamount to denunciation, so he was spared.

Leng Monk Ji gave him all the family property of Tunbulu and Aibali as a reward for his meritorious report. He also gave him the hereditary position of third-class Jia La Zhangjing, and was hereditary. He was also given the privilege of dispensing with various tributes.

At the same time, the zhenglan flag system was abolished, and the subordinates were organized into two yellow flags, and the "eight flags" became the "seven flags" for a while. However, not long after, Huang Taiji restored the positive blue flag, but the restored positive blue flag is no longer what it used to be.

In the first month of the first year of Chongde, the Ministry of Works destroyed the tombs of Mang Guertai and Dege, "discarding the bones that had been cold and discarding them again", and all the burial gold and silver utensils in the tomb were confiscated and stored. When Emperor Taiji heard about it, he ordered the Ministry of Works to restore his tomb as it was.
