After Emperor Taiji succeeded to the throne, why did he kill his two brothers? Nurhaci is to blame for this

On August 11, 1626, Nurhaci fell ill and died on his way back to Shengjing. The next day, the kings of Belle held a meeting, and the father and son of Daishan elected the four baylor emperor Taiji as the new heir, and the consent of the kings beylers was obtained, so that the emperor Taiji became the second emperor of the Qing Dynasty (at this time it was still Houjin). However, after Emperor Taiji took the throne, he began to attack his brother who had elected him, and the two brothers were killed by him.

The first person to be disposed of by Emperor Taiji was Erbel Amin. Amin's father was Nurhaci's younger brother Shulhazi, who was raised by Nurhaci and fought in many important battles. When Nurhaci created the Eight Flags system, Amin was given the title of Blue Flag Bearer. After Nurhaci was proclaimed Khan, Amin was named the Fourth Great Baylor with Daishan, Mang Gultai, and Huang Taiji, and he ranked second.

When he elected the Emperor Taiji, Amin also expressed his support, but he could not escape the sanctions of his cousin. In 1629, Emperor Taiji led an army into Guanguan and occupied the four cities of Luanzhou, Yongping, Qian'an, and Zunhua. The following year, Emperor Taiji ordered Amin to lead an army to garrison the four cities. As a result, the Ming army launched an attack on four cities at this time. Amin's rescue was ineffective, and he abandoned the four cities and fled back to Guanwai. Emperor Taiji was furious when he heard the news, and ordered him to be convicted of sixteen major sins.

However, Emperor Taiji did not kill Amin and imprison him, but Amin was stripped of all his duties and stripped of all his property, leaving only "Zhuang Liu, Yuan Er, and Slave Twenty". Ten years later, Amin fell ill and died in prison. Amin is huang taiji's cousin, and his ending is still lucky, while huang taiji's brother does not have such good luck. Among the four baylors, Mang Gurtai ranked third, in fact, he was nurhaci's fifth son.

Although Huang Taiji is the fourth baylor, he is actually the eighth son of Nurhaci, which means that Mang Gultai is the fifth brother of Huang Taiji. Mang Gultai fought bravely, bravely and well, played a major role in the process of Nurhaci's conquest, and was later named the banner master of the Zhenglan Banner. Mang Gultai belonged to a simple-minded and well-developed person, and he had a dispute with Huang Taiji in the Battle of Daling River.

In the process, Mang Gultai actually pulled out his sabre and clashed with his younger brother Derg who dissuaded him. This incident made Emperor Taiji very angry, and afterwards "discussed Mang Guertai's great disrespect, seized Heshuo Belle, lowered Dorobelle, cut five cattle records, and fined Silver Wan and Armor, Carved Kurama Ten, and Su Kurama II." Not long after, Mang Gurtai died of grief over the incident.

Unexpectedly, a few years later, someone revealed that "Mang Gultai's female brother Mang Guzige belongs to the cold monk machine to sue Mang Gultai and the Dege class and Mang Guzige ally with resentment and will be in danger." Although Mang Gultai was dead at this time, Emperor Taiji still decided to punish, "pursuing Mang Gultai Lord, Mang Guzigge and Mang Guertai's son Erbilun to death". So the question is, why did Huang Taiji attack his brother so fiercely? In fact, the reason has to start from Nurhaci.

Nurhaci created the "Four Baylors" and entrusted government affairs to the Four Baylors. However, after Emperor Taiji ascended the throne, this system was still adopted, and Emperor Taiji was nominally the emperor, "although there is a false name of Khan, it is no different from the yellow flag and belleye.". Politically, militarily, and economically, Huang Taiji was held hostage by the other three generations of Baylor at every turn, and even during the imperial meeting, Huang Taiji and "the three baylors sat southward."

If Emperor Taiji wanted to establish the authority of the Emperor, he had to start with the three baylors, so he would attack his three brothers. The most tragic ones were Amin and Mang Gultai, and even Daishan, who elected the Emperor Taiji, did not escape punishment.
