Sony followed by another LG CES show that unveiled the Omnipod self-driving concept car

At the ongoing CES 2022, LG Electronics from South Korea brought an autonomous driving concept car called "Omnipod". Unlike previous self-driving vehicles, this car blurs the boundaries between home and car, and in addition to playing the role of daily travel, it can also be used as a home office, entertainment center and even a lounge.

LG doesn't reveal much about the concept car, but it has rotatable front seats, while also having a widescreen display that can rise from the dashboard. The concept car is also equipped with a personal rear seat with a sleep mode. When the latter is activated, the seat reclines and unfolds the foot pedals, thus being able to provide a comfortable resting environment.

Inside the LG self-driving concept car Omnipod

Given that LG is known for its home electronics, it's no surprise that omnipods have numerous displays as well as household products like refrigerators and coffee makers. The concept car is even equipped with an electrically unfoldable hanger that allows you to change into cleaner clothes when you arrive at your destination. The car also has a movie mode and a fitness mode, so you can watch movies or work out in the car.

In terms of intelligence, the car also has a different performance. The car has an AI concierge service provided by virtual personal assistants such as Reah Keem, a well-known virtual figure in LG, and can control the vehicle's numerous functions through voice, including interior lights, temperature adjustment and vehicle driving, and even order food. However, this concept car is still in its infancy, and it may have to wait for a while to really mass-produce.
