Sony's release of the new car should be one of the biggest news at this year's CES show!
As a big brand, Sony has always been not short of points to watch, but as a digital giant with deep achievements in the field of sensors and entertainment, it has actually built a concept car!
The name is also quite interesting, called VISION - S, which translates to Chinese is visual - S.
Without further ado, let's take a look!
The overall design adopts a large slip back, and the rounded body makes the look very comfortable!
Unlike conventional cars, the VISION-S has no grille on the front, typical electric car looks!
The front is cut into two parts, the upper and lower parts by a strip of lights, and above it are the through-type headlights, which at first glance are a bit like Porsche's Tayan.
Below is the aerodynamic air intake that makes the front face look very moving.
The tail part also does not have a particularly large highlight, and it also uses a penetrating taillight.
The large five-spoke spokes and red Brembo calipers indicate that the VISION-S should be sporty.
However, from the overall appearance of the decent, in line with the current trend that people are pursuing, there is no particular attraction.

In the limited release time, Sony focused on the interior and body of the black technology.

There are currently two mainstream hardware solutions for autonomous driving:
A camera-based visual scheme, the advantage of this scheme is that the cost is low;
The other is a lidar-led sensor fusion scheme, which has the disadvantage of being expensive but theoretically safer.
Sony naturally went to the vision program, and at the press conference, Sony also said that their image sensor and radar sensor fusion scheme has landed.
In addition, Sony not only built its own cars, but also attracted NVIDIA, Qualcomm, Bosch, ZF, Bosch, BlackBerry, QNX, Ma brand and other manufacturers to jointly create VISION-S.

However, I think Sony is not as simple as wanting to build a car, as the automatic driving technology is slowly improving, Sony has a powerful CMOS technology, and it is certainly not willing to just provide everyone with a CMOS.
The release of VISION-S at CES is more like showing you your solutions on in-car entertainment systems and autonomous driving systems.
