One day in July 1941, a group of guerrillas of the Eighth Route Army was besieging a Japanese bunker tower, and the Japanese army and puppet troops in the building relied on the easy defense and difficult attack of the tower, constantly giving our army a fierce counterattack.
At this time, in the tense and critical conditions of the battle, two mules and a donkey crossed the rear to the position of the guerrillas, and behind them were the secret weapons of our army.
First, the cannon that first showed its might
The secret weapon, which required two mules and a donkey to move, was a mountain cannon, but unfortunately it had only six shells.
Everyone was very curious about this iron-plated mountain cannon, its thick armor emitted a sense of gunfire, but the bulky texture could not help but make people doubt its authentic reliability, many people said that it was a flashy iron knot.
There were no gunners in the guerrillas who could operate mountain artillery, and in desperation, the brigade commander Yi Liangpin urgently ordered a mortar gunner to operate and shoot.
But after all, the big guys are also using this thing for the first time, and after some adjustments, the first shell is still crooked.
But the crooked shells plunged straight into the mound behind them from above the bunker, and for a moment the mountain shook and the mud splashed around, and after the dust and smoke dissipated, a large crater appeared on the ground.
Everyone witnessed the extraordinary power of the mountain cannon and was stunned.
Yi Liangpin was suddenly full of confidence and personally commanded the mountain artillery to move forward in order to better deal a heavy blow to the Japanese army.
Affected by the huge movement of the first artillery, many Japanese troops in the bunkers reached out to observe the battle situation, and by the time they saw the cannon with the huge barrel, the second shell of the Eighth Route Army had already accurately hit the tower with a loud sound.
In an instant, the tower was as strong and tall as a clay pot struck by a hammer, falling apart and falling apart, and the Japanese troops in the tower were wailing and fleeing like lynx struck by lightning.
Yi Liangpin then took the opportunity to order the soldiers to attack, and the enemy in the tower was basically half dead and half fleeing, so relying on this unexpected mountain cannon, the Eighth Route Army removed the tower that hindered the guerrillas from passing through the enemy's rear in one fell swoop.
Second, the spoils of war become hot potatoes
As we all know, the guerrillas of the Eighth Route Army operating in the rear of the enemy are known for their flexibility and rapid response, and it is not reasonable to say that they should not be equipped with mountain guns that are so troublesome to transport.
Moreover, the level of China's military industry at that time, it was almost impossible to produce such a mountain cannon, and even if it could, it should be used in the frontal battlefield of direct confrontation with the Japanese army.
So, how did the guerrillas of the Eighth Route Army get this mountain cannon?
It turned out that this mountain cannon was not equipped with weapons of the Eighth Route Army, but the trophy of the Eighth Route Army.
A year ago, Yi Liangpin, commander of the New Seventh Brigade of the 129th Division of the Eighth Route Army, launched activities behind enemy lines and attacked the enemy's watchtower near Xigao Village in Gucheng County, Hebei Province.
Yi Liangpin took the lead in ambushing in Xigao Village, and when the Japanese reinforcements arrived, they unexpectedly ambushed the Japanese army, and after a fierce battle, the Japanese reinforcements collapsed, and this mountain cannon, along with several shells, was abandoned by the Japanese army on the battlefield and became the spoils of our army.
But this mountain cannon was something the Eighth Route Army had never seen before, let alone understood operation.
Guerrilla guerrilla, guerrilla talk is to "swim" and "strike", this heavy mountain cannon very slow down the guerrilla marching speed, destroy it, too pity, after all, is a big guy, although they will not use it, but they can not dismantle it into a hoe to plan the ground! Not to mention the battlefield behind enemy lines, where military supplies are very scarce.
Keep it, too chicken ribs, use and will not use, luck and transport can not go, stay in place is still afraid of the Japanese army to turn back to pull back, do not let their own people suffer a big loss.
In this way, the trophy cannon that should have been fragrant became a hot potato.
After some thought, Yi Liangpin reported the incident to the military factory in the rear of the Eighth Route Army, and the military factory immediately sent a relevant technician to understand the situation.
But as soon as he came to the scene, this technician also made a mistake, the production line in the factory really could not produce equipment similar to this mountain cannon, so it was not necessary to pull back to the factory, not to mention that the mountain was high and the water was long, the road was still difficult to walk, and the horses originally used by the Japanese army to pull the mountain cannon were also killed in the melee.
The technician and Yi Liangpin combined and simply dismantled this mountain cannon and hid it.
So the people disassembled the cannon, and the technicians smeared oil on all parts of the cannon for antiseptic treatment, and then borrowed a few livestock from the villagers to transport the cannon to the nearby mountains, covered it with cloth, and buried such a cannon and shells there.
Later, the guerrillas almost forgot about it, until a year later, they received an order to remove the Japanese bunkers.
Third, the enemy surrounded and occupied the pillbox, and the divine soldiers reappeared to forcibly pull out the building
There is a road connection of more than 50 miles between Qinghe County and Nangong City in Hebei Province, and near this main road is an important area of anti-Japanese guerrilla activities, through which the Japanese army continues to transport weapons, equipment and soldiers to various places along the front line, and under the continuous harassment and attack of the anti-Japanese guerrillas, it has repeatedly dealt heavy blows to the Japanese army.
During the Hundred Regiments War, the Eighth Route Army relied on attacking, destroying, and rushing to attack the main transportation routes and Japanese strongholds; the use of flexible tactical systems and mobile marching strategies taught the Japanese enough lessons and severely dampened the arrogance of the Japanese army, and the Japanese army had to pay more attention to this guerrilla force behind the enemy lines.
In this context, the Japanese army began to increase the deployment of important transportation lines, trying to connect the various strongholds into a line, constantly separating the rear guerrilla battlefield, hindering the action and communication between the guerrillas, and thus trapping the guerrilla forces behind the enemy.
If the blockade chain of the Japanese army is not broken, the scattered anti-enemy forces of the Eighth Route Army can only be turtles in an urn and slaughtered by others.
Especially in the cold winter months, guerrillas who could not get supplies would freeze to death and starve to death even if they did not encounter the encirclement and suppression of the Japanese army.
As a result, there was the Eighth Route Army's action of bombing forts to clear the enemy, and there were more than a dozen pillboxes between Qinghe County and Nangong City, and it was Yi Liangpin and the new Seventh Brigade led by Him who were responsible for clearing this area.
The first bunker building that Yi Liangpin wanted to attack was located near Maguzhuang in Nangong City.
At dusk, Yi Liangpin led his troops to touch the vicinity of the bunker tower, and after observing the enemy for a while, taking advantage of the night that had just fallen, the Eighth Route Army took the lead in firing, and the Japanese army also launched a fierce counterattack against the Eighth Route Army according to the fortification of the tower.
The Japanese army relied on high places, condescending, and had a more comprehensive view and fire coverage during the day, so the night was the best time for the Eighth Route Army to attack.
However, due to the lack of refined weapons, the attack did not bring down the tower for one night, but the fierce counterattack fire of the Japanese army caused dozens of casualties among the Soldiers of the Eighth Route Army.
Helplessly, Yi Liangpin could only fence this tower first and then make a plan.
I couldn't imagine that I had encountered such a big difficulty in the first watchtower, and I felt pressure when I thought that there were more than a dozen Yi Liangpin behind me.
When Yi Liangpin was at a loss, he suddenly thought of the cannon buried in the mountain a year ago, would it have a miraculous effect when he tried it?
Yi Liangpin immediately ordered three Eighth Route Army soldiers to borrow two mules and a donkey from the villagers to pull the cannon.
During the war years, the Japanese army did not exhaustively plunder our country, and many materials were requisitioned, including horses that could pull heavy objects, so the farmers only had mules, donkeys, old cattle and the like.
The location of the buried cannon was not near Nangong City, but in the old city a hundred miles away.
Three soldiers of the Eighth Route Army rode mules and donkeys all the way to the ancient city to dig up the mountain cannon, transported the cannon to an army factory near Nangong City for assembly, and finally pulled the complete cannon to the front of the Eighth Route Army in Maguzhuang, and along the way, the three soldiers and three livestock were tired enough.
But the result was always good, the cannon came to the battlefield smoothly, and then the scene at the beginning of the article appeared.
The so-called one-shot cannon is determined, and the mountain cannon that shows great power frightens the Japanese army to panic and fart, and this mountain cannon, which was buried in the deep mountains a year ago, has been repeatedly accomplished since then.
After successfully removing the first pillbox of the Japanese army, Yi Liangpin continued to march to other bunkers, and many Japanese troops could not help but giggle when they heard the news that the Eighth Route Army had a large mountain cannon, especially when they saw that the Eighth Route Army directly attacked with cannons and fled.
Therefore, Yi Liangpin easily removed the remaining bunker buildings, only two bunker towers in the Japanese army were still stubbornly resisting with their own people, but Yi Liangpin and mountain cannons did not give them a chance, and in the face of the shocking mountain cannons, they were easily taken down.
In the end, the enemy towers between Qinghe County and Nangong City were all uprooted, and under the blessing of the huge power of the mountain cannon, Yi Liangpin's team quickly completed the task, and even the shells of the mountain cannon were not used up, and even some puppet troops felt the power of the mountain cannon and the embarrassment of the Japanese army, and took the initiative to surrender in front of the reform.
Who would have thought that this mountain cannon that blew up the Japanese army was made by the Japanese themselves! Perhaps, this is called self-inflicted fruition.
Fourth, the hero's elegy
Unfortunately, Yi Liangpin did not see the day of victory in the War of Resistance.
In 1943, Yi Liangpin organized a breakthrough in Yangzhuang, Zaoqiang County, unfortunately was shot through the abdomen by the Bullets of the Japanese Army, although Yi Liangpin rushed out of the encirclement and was covered to Xigao Village, but the simple medical environment and lack of medicine and lack of equipment were still difficult to control the injury, seven days later, Yi Liangpin died heroically.
Qingshan buried loyal bones, and blue blood stained with long wisps.
After a long and arduous war, the Chinese people, together with justice, trampled the aggressors under their feet, but this victory came too heavy, and we should always remember that we live happily because of those who have never had a happy life.
