Many babies will have a situation where the due date has not yet moved, and some pregnant mothers will be more anxious at this time, worried about what to do if the due date has not yet been born. In fact, delivery within two weeks before and after the expected date of delivery is normal. Births between 24 and 36 weeks of pregnancy are considered premature and those born after 42 weeks are considered late.
If the pregnant mother has passed the due date of delivery, but there are no signs of childbirth, the following points must be noted:
1. Don't be too nervous, pay attention to the fetal movement. Once fetal movement is less than 3 times per hour or less than 20 times in 12 hours or the fetal movement is weakened, it is necessary to go to the hospital immediately for further examination, and the doctor will decide the timing of delivery according to the situation.
2. Continue the obstetric examination, and give the doctor the results of the first trimester examination (such as ultrasound, blood test, pregnancy test, etc.) and the time and result of fetal movement, so that the doctor can check the gestational age again.
3. Strengthen prenatal examination, shorten the interval between examinations, contact the doctor at any time, inform the intrauterine fetal movement, and at the same time, ultrasound B follow-up amniotic water. If there are no abnormalities, the pregnancy can be continued under close supervision.
If the due date is postponed to 14 days later, when the so-called post-term pregnancy is reached, the hospital should be promptly taken to take measures. Because at this time, the placenta of some pregnant mothers will age, and the fetus will have hypoxic asphyxia, which will be more harmful to the child.
