On January 6, 2022, the RCEP Business Leaders Forum (hereinafter referred to as the "Forum") was successfully held in Nanning, Guangxi. Co-sponsored by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the East Asian Business Council and the Cambodian Chamber of Commerce, the forum focused on the opportunities and development potentials faced by member countries after the RCEP takes effect with the theme of "Welcoming a New Era of Cooperation and Creating a New Future for Development". This forum is an important theme activity after the RCEP takes effect, which is of great significance for accelerating the process of regional economic integration and promoting the recovery and growth of the region and even the world economy.
At the opening ceremony of the forum, Guangxi Automobile Group and Japan ASF Co., Ltd. successfully signed the "Mini Electric Logistics Vehicle Consignment Development and Mass Production Agreement". According to the agreement, Guangxi Automobile Group cooperated with Japan's ASF Co., Ltd. to develop a pure electric logistics vehicle, which was developed and produced by Guangxi Automobile Group in Liuzhou, and the Japanese ASF Co., Ltd. paid for research and development costs and sold in Japan. The company plans to achieve mass production and go-to-market sales in December 2022, with a scale of 210 million yuan, and the two companies expect that the cumulative sales of the mini-electric logistics vehicle will exceed 100,000 units by 2030.
The electric logistics vehicle model developed in cooperation is small in size, flexible and convenient in passing, with novel shape, concise and rich functional configuration, matching the "last kilometer" logistics and transportation and other multi-purpose scenarios, and will be applied to the short-distance transportation of goods for small and micro enterprises, the logistics distribution of cities, townships and other terminal logistics distribution, same-city distribution, e-commerce distribution, supermarket distribution, community distribution, etc.
China occupies the first echelon of the world in electric vehicle technology and sales, and some car companies have entered the global market. China is also increasing investment in resources and technology research and development, and will have stronger competitiveness in the future. In the future, after the electric vehicle industry has more infrastructure support and user transformation, sales will further increase significantly.
The cooperation between Guangxi Automobile Group and ASF Co., Ltd. will give full play to Guangxi Automobile Group's cost-effective and high-quality car manufacturing experience and manufacturing advantages of the whole supply chain, and accelerate the development of the Japanese market for micro-new energy logistics vehicles. At the same time, the project is the first time that Guangxi's new energy logistics vehicles have entered the Japanese market, marking that Guangxi's new energy vehicles are moving towards the international advanced ranks.
At the opening ceremony of the forum, the Guangxi International Chamber of Commerce RCEP Overseas Enterprise Service Center was established. The center aims to provide two-way economic and trade information exchange services for enterprises and Enterprises in RCEP member countries, promote liberalization and facilitation in the fields of trade in goods, trade in services, investment cooperation and other fields in Guangxi and RCEP member countries, and promote Guangxi's opening up to the outside world and economic cooperation to seize opportunities, improve quality and efficiency. The signing of the agreement between Guangxi Automobile Group and ASF Co., Ltd. of Japan is the first result of the center's efforts to promote the promotion.
