Li Zhen is the first female general in modern China, joined the party at the age of 16, became a founding major general at the age of 48, and had 22 children in her lifetime. Li Zhen's family was very poor and suffered a lot when she was a child. When she was six years old, Li Zhen's parents sold her to a rich man's family as a child bride in order to earn a living.
She is nominally a daughter-in-law, but in fact she is just a handsome man who has been bought for money, and her in-laws often beat and scold her for some small things. Li Zhen was very dissatisfied with this, because she did not have the ability to survive independently, so she had to endure it and became a child bride for ten consecutive years. Later, she came into contact with the revolutionary ranks, participated in some revolutionary activities, and embarked on the road of serving the country.
Li Zhen's mother-in-law, worried about being implicated, quickly drove her out of the house and dissolved her in-law relationship. After entering the revolutionary organization, she followed her comrades around the war, often risking her life to fight the enemy. Fortunately, she was able to save her life every time and survive the enemy's artillery fire tenaciously. Later, she met people in the army who deserved to be entrusted for life, and the two of them, because of their like-mindedness, after spending some time together, soon came together and formed a new family. Later, the revolutionary organizations were forced to start the Long March because of the defeat of the anti-encirclement and suppression campaign. During this period, Li Zhen happened to be pregnant, and because the conditions were more difficult, he did not get good care.
In the course of the Long March, because of the enemy's encirclement and interception, it was unfortunate to have a miscarriage, and at the same time lost its fertility, which made people particularly sad. However, this blow did not make Li Zhen give up on herself, she stubbornly overcame the psychological shadow and bravely stood up. Since then, he has successively adopted the orphans of some of his comrades-in-arms and cultivated them as his own flesh and bones.
After the final victory of the revolutionary organization, a very solemn ceremony was held. The state awarded military ranks to generals based on their performance during the war. Li Zhen received the honor of founding major general for his many meritorious deeds. After she became a general, she still lived a very hard and simple life, she lived in the ordinary courtyard, ate rough tea and light rice, and was amiable when she got along with others, looking like an ordinary woman. In 1990, Li Zhen unfortunately died, and before dying, he donated all the money he had saved over the years to the state.
