Beijing's first Olympic book house was unveiled and officially opened to the public

People's Daily Beijing, January 5 (Chi Mengrui) On the occasion of the 30-day countdown to the opening of the Beijing Winter Olympics, the Olympic Book House jointly established by the Capital Library and the Capital Institute of Physical Education was officially unveiled and opened to the public. Chen Zuosong, vice president of the Capital Institute of Physical Education, Pang Wei, member of the party group and deputy director of the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, and first-level inspector, and Sun Bin, director of the Education and Public Participation Department of the Information and Publicity Department of the Beijing Winter Olympics Organizing Committee, attended the unveiling event. After the unveiling, all the leaders, teachers and students visited the Olympic Book House, the Skating Hall of the Capital Institute of Physical Education and the Olympic Education Museum, and experienced the strong ice and snow and the Olympic atmosphere.

According to reports, the Olympic Book House is a sports library jointly established by the Capital Library and the Capital Institute of Physical Education, which not only draws on the experience of the construction of public libraries and thematic branches, but also combines the characteristics of the Winter Olympic Station of the Capital Institute of Physical Education, gives full play to the advantages of both sides to cooperate and build, and is the only library in Beijing with the theme of the Olympic Games. The Olympic Book House now has more than 2,000 sports theme Chinese books and nearly 1,000 kinds of Olympic theme books in foreign languages, as well as 3 million e-books, more than 500,000 sets of audiobooks, tens of thousands of digital journals and high-quality digital resources, which are available to readers anytime and anywhere. At the same time, the Olympic Book House has become a member of the 425 member libraries of the Beijing Public Library card service system, which can not only realize the borrowing and return of books in 395 member libraries with the function of borrowing and returning, but also opened the Capital Library and 14 district libraries to borrow books on call and on-call value-added services.
