On January 10, 2022, the signing of the strategic cooperation framework agreement between the Capital Library and the Beijing Lu Xun Museum and the book donation ceremony of "Notes on the Transmission of A Q" were held in the Tianguang Conference Room on the tenth floor of Block B of the Capital Library. Huang Qiaosheng, executive deputy director of Beijing Lu Xun Museum, Mao Yajun, director of the Capital Library and deputy secretary of the party committee, and Xiao Weiping, secretary of the party committee of the capital library, attended the ceremony.
The history of the Capital Library can be traced back to 1913, and the Beijing Normal Library Branch, the Beijing Normal Library and the Central Park Book Reading House, which were built by Mr. Lu Xun personally participated in the construction of the three libraries, were merged and evolved several times. At present, the Capital Library has become an important knowledge and information hub and a base for the construction of spiritual civilization in Beijing. Lu Xun Museum is a national first-class museum, which has innovative integration spaces such as Lu Xun's former residence, Lu Xun's life exhibition and Lu Xun Bookstore, which is committed to inheriting the spirit of Lu Xun, disseminating advanced culture, and enriching the spiritual life of the public.
The establishment of a deep strategic partnership between the Capital Library and the Beijing Lu Xun Museum is a new cultural resource linkage method for the strong combination of libraries and museums, and an innovative measure to promote reading for all and strengthen cultural self-confidence. In the future, the two sides will make use of the advantages of literature resources, in-depth cooperation, jointly build a lu xun cultural research and lu xun culture promotion position that integrates research and learning experience, actively carry out cultural activities such as relevant forums, lectures and trainings of lu xun research, exchange cultural and creative development experience, mutually enjoy cultural and creative product resources, mutually benefit cultural and creative marketing results, and contribute to the pilot work of cultural and creative product development in the capital. Jointly create a characteristic cultural space related to the theme of Lu Xun, promote the "library +" and "museum +" models, and work together to build a cross-border alliance of libraries and museums to enrich the cultural life of the citizens of the capital.
At the ceremony, Huang Qiaosheng, executive deputy director of Beijing Lu Xun Museum, and Beijing ChongxianGuan Century Culture Media Co., Ltd. also donated the book "Notes on the Transmission of A Q" to the Capital Library. For the first time, the book was published in the form of notes on the original text, line binding on rice paper, vertical arrangement of ancient scripts, rich pictures and texts, and a combination of prints and signatures, which made a meticulous and vivid interpretation of Lu Xun's representative works and new literary classics, which was of considerable collection and reading value.
The Capital Library has long accepted donations of literature resources from all walks of life. The Beijing City Library, which is under construction, will provide more adequate and reasonable space for the collection and display of donated valuable literature. Hereby earnestly hope and welcome more social institutions, groups and individuals to donate valuable documentary resources carrying the memory of the city to the Library of the Capital for joint exchanges and cooperation.
