Celebrating the International Chinese Day, teachers and students of the Capital Institute of Physical Education practiced martial arts

In order to celebrate International Chinese Day on April 20, since mid-April, the Capital Institute of Physical Education has planned and organized a cultural experience activity of "visiting martial arts halls, practicing martial arts, learning Chinese". Hosted by the Chinese and Foreign Language Exchange and Cooperation Center of the Ministry of Education and the Chinese Alliance, and hosted by the Capital Institute of Physical Education and the Chinese International Promotion Martial Arts Training and Research Base, the event aims to help Chinese learners and users around the world to understand the history, culture and achievements of Chinese easily and happily in the cloud.

Chinese is one of the six official international languages of the United Nations and one of the most spoken languages in the world. In 2010, in order to celebrate multilingualism and cultural diversity and to promote the equal use of the six official languages of Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish at the United Nations, the United Nations Department of Public Information (now the Department of Global Communications) announced the launch of a joint Chinese Day. Among them, "Chinese Day" is set on the day of Gu Yu in the twenty-fourth solar term of the Chinese lunar calendar, which is to commemorate the contribution of Cangjie, the "ancestor of Chinese characters".

The rainy season in the valley in 2022 ushered in the thirteenth Chinese day. Since 2012, the Capital Institute of Physical Education has been approved by the former Hanban and the Chinese language exchange and cooperation center of the Ministry of Education to undertake the training and research base for the international promotion of Chinese martial arts, and has been committed to carrying out international performances, training and research of cross-cultural martial arts in the context of Sino-foreign language cooperation and exchanges, implementing more than 100 "cloud tours" under the global Confucius Institute martial arts culture tour and epidemic prevention and control, forming a martial arts culture brand project of "martial arts integration and telling Chinese stories", and teachers and students have taught nearly 20 national martial arts routines and wushu sanda national teams. Based on martial arts technology, it shows the world a true, three-dimensional and comprehensive image of China, and actively serves the grand goal of the Capital Institute of Physical Education to create a world-class sports university with the integrated development of Chinese sports spirit and Olympic spirit.

This activity adopts the immersive tour of international students and their Chinese language partners at the Wushu Exhibition Center as a clue, and explains the beautiful vision of both cultural and martial arts cultivation from the aspects of "Wen Yi Zai Dao: Touring the Martial Arts Hall, Learning Chinese" and "Wu Yi Self-Cultivation: Practicing Martial Arts, Learning Chinese". In terms of "learning literature", Chinese and foreign language partners personally experienced Chinese calligraphy, understood the writing and evolution of different fonts of the "wu" character, understood the true meaning of the martial arts of "stopping the go and becoming martial" and Chinese the people's hope for the value of peace; in the "learning of martial arts", everyone participated in the introductory experience class of hieroglyphic boxing, learned the combined movements of the Chinese martial art Tiger Fist, challenged the martial arts skills such as plum blossom pile, wooden stake, eye speed, and divine fist invincibility, understood the fitness effect of martial arts, and practiced Chinese martial arts to strengthen the body under the background of normalization of epidemic prevention and control. Cultivate the mind and maintain health. In the activities of both culture and martial arts, Chinese and foreign friends were full of interest, learned from each other, and promoted cultural understanding, spiritual communication and emotional affinity.
